Have you ever streamed your entire music library to another computer, mobile phone or game console? We recommend you try the Media Player application.
Have you ever had time to brew a cup of coffee while you wait for a Web page to load? Opera Turbo speeds up your network connection, giving you eight-times-faster Web surfing over slow connections than other browsers.
Create Opera Unite applications
We are inviting talented developers to submit new Opera Unite applications. This week we will announce a new application every day and it's not too late for you to get started developing!
A graphic design student and part time unicorn caretaker wants to become an artist in New York on day. With her amazing skills we suspect it's not going to be too hard.
We're really excited about the response after the beta launch of Opera Unite, and our developer challenge is going great with new weekly submissions.
So, instead of announcing only one new application next week, we're going all out and announcing a new Opera Unite application every day, starting this Monday and ending Friday!
You can submit your application at any time during this period, for review. Contest rules from our developer challenge still apply, but we will be flexible on this area. We recommend everyone to submit applications, even if they are in alpha- or beta stage.
A few Ideas to help you get started
Tree house: Remote control of lights and heating of your backyard tree house!
Look what I found: A sandbox where you (and visitors) can drag'n'drop anything cool discovered online such as news articles, YouTube videos, game demos, etc.
This version for Windows Mobile users elevates mobile browsing to a desktop-like experience, helping people to search, socialize and stay connected while on-the-go.
The Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile looks and feels similar to the Opera 10 desktop browser and Opera Mini 5 beta. Opera is creating more cohesion between its products by introducing a unified look across many of its platforms. Opera maintains its powerful arsenal of features in this beta, including Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, a password manager and its super, server-side compressor, Opera Turbo.

Document Sync allows you to automatically back up the content of a specified directory to a remote computer running Document Courier.
Synchronization can be set to occur automatically whenever you want and can also be performed manually at any time by simply clicking the "Sync" button. Simply specify the receiving Document Courier service URL and its respective password, as well as the folder name which will identify the folder within the Document Courier shared directory where the files will be stored.
We'd like to congratulate mjgrainge on becoming this week's winner! Thanks for creating Opera Unite application and keep up the great work!
Applications of our dreams
There are many applications we would love to see created! Here are a few ideas for future Opera Unite applications:
Tree house: Remote control of lights and heating of your backyard tree house!
Birthday: An application where visitors can leave a birthday greeting for friends!
Cooking Unite: A place to share recipes with comment functionality. Add support to embed photos + videos and I think we got a winner!
Look what I found: A sandbox where you (and visitors) can drag'n'drop anything cool discovered online such as news articles, YouTube videos, game demos, etc.
Develop Opera Unite applications and get rewarded for it!
Every Monday we will announce a new application of the week. The developer is rewarded a gift card equal the value of a Nintendo Wii. All you have to do is create an Opera Unite application and submit it by 10 AM CET any Friday to enter the challenge.
Who wouldn't love a job where you get to make grape kebabs for fruit bats, getting mobbed by lemurs for tamarind pods, having coatis climb my legs with their sharp claws and being... ear-raped by monkeys!?
Anyway, this blogger apperantly do and her blog is full of great stories (check out the "A bear in a bearhat" post... hilarious!) and some really great pictures.
We always have a great time reading her blog, and we think you will too, so please give it up for lixxylu - this week's member of the week!
