Phishing is a form of online fraud to trick users divulging personal information, credit card numbers, or bank account details. Among all of the available sources of phishing data, Opera chose PhishTank, operated by OpenDNS and its community members who have shared their stories and experiences at Gift of Safe - a community collaboration between My Opera and OpenDNS. We support this initiative and want to encourage you to take part in helping us share information and increase the chance of eliminate phishing all together

I have missed Opera since I upgraded months ago to AMD64 and run Linux. I am a bit dismayed over the reluctance to generate a LINUX 64bit Opera Browser.

Anyone have any idea why the snub of LINUX 64 bit?

Opera just got even better !

But with one BIG reservation - with the introduction of version 9, Opera no longer supports the selection of alternate stylesheets via js. This means that a language selection facility on my website (www.azmi-marin.com) doesn't work.

While Opera KB article 578 says : "Opera supports "Alternate stylesheets" but do note that links marked up with rel="alternate stylesheet" are not applied unless the user chooses to do so in View > Styles.", a) I am not sure that this means you have to use the menu every time you hit a fresh page, b) it used to work prior to v.9, and c) the method is a perfectly standard method, used quite widely, and supported by IE & Firefox.

Unfortunately, I can no longer help spread Opera on my website - this would be nonsense since my own site breaks if you choose to install Opera 9 !

So, please check to see if this change was intended, and if so, please reconsider.

Thanks,

Azmi

Finally an easy, working way to make Flash work under FreeBSD. Thank you!

(Just install www/opera, www/opera-linuxplugins and www/linux-flashplugin7.)

In acount mail in Opera 7.x - 9.1 is very big bug:
After sets acount mail password is shorted to 6 characters.
I`m doesn`t have short password in acounts , well Opera showing error in connecting to mail acount.

Other options: Opera running faster, but on my computer (PII400MHz, 64MB RAM, WIn98SE :o: ) faster is older Opera 7.54.
Next point: Phishing filter is verry good, proxy`s working better on current Opera version than olders Operas.

Totality: Great Job :] 5/6

Great site, I'm no expert, but it seems to work ok. One question. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the address bar that pops up over the brief sinopsis when I hoover my mouse over a headline in the news sections. Makes it so you can't get the preview without looking at the whole acticle.

I upgraded to 9.1 Opera version and I am sorry to notice I still have to refresh the saved new post every single time I make some changes.

I hope this 9.10 release won't take me anymore to the caché page in my computer but to the saved page in the server.

Thanks Opera

Opera is really a fantastic approach. Once I opted for it, and lo now can not rely on anyone else.
