What's on your speed dial?

speed dial

With the release of Opera 9.2 we introduce a new cool feature called "Speed Dial". With each blank tab (New tab), Speed Dial presents a thumbnail preview of the top nine sites as selected by the user.

In addition to fast access through the Speed Dial, users can also enter the number corresponding with each bookmarked Speed Dial page in Opera's address field to access the page.

Head over to Opera Labs, read more about it, and last but not least, download it!

Once you've tried it, head over to the Desktop Team blog and let us know what's on your Speed Dial!

Speed Dial is great! Now I'm thinking I'd love to be able to add much more than 9 sites into it though. Just access everything from there. That would be awsome! This is a pretty exciting feature really.

Nothing on my speed dial. Used it, liked it but then began to find it distracting!!! Now I hide it....

What I miss in Opera is a reader for RSS like Wizz in Fire Fox - keeps formating and I don't need to switch between the pages... one click and I can read all news...
spelling and dictionaries...
it would be nice if your powerfull browser had the ease of use of FireFox...
best regards

I like the ability to drag and drop pages from the tab bar without having to disaply the page.

Good work guys, as usual!

Munus 31. March 2007, 11:55

It is a pitty that Opera for linux is still 9.10... :/

haavard 31. March 2007, 13:27

Opera for Mac and Windows are also at version 9.10. 9.20 is just a beta, and is available for Linux as well as other desktop platforms.

Munus 31. March 2007, 15:09

OK
When I loaded opera.com under windows I saw 9.20 but when under Linux I saw 9.10 so I taught than 9.20 is not ready for Linux yet
