New themes soon

Fred has been working on some cool new blog themes, and we're getting close to a release. The new themes will not only be visually outstanding and awesome, but they will make it easier for you to design/customize your own blog themes in the future as well.

Those who already have a customized blog theme, don't worry. Your blog will not be affected by the changes if you don't want to. You can choose whether to keep the existing (current) design, or pick from the new ones.

In the meantime we're keeping a close eye on the work carried out by DrLaunch. He has just created a group to track development of different My Opera blog designs he's working on. We're sure he wouldn't mind some feedback, so make sure you stop by!

We'll come back with additional information and a complete changelog soon.

Maybe I should have waited with my new Kestrel design but I wanted to have the sidebar and a dark background (I customized the standard theme). Anyhow it was a good time as Kestrel is already out in the Wiild.

) ...but, like Luke, I could be seduced by the darkside and end up using one of these 'advertised-as-scrumptious' new themes you hint at.

About time too. (though I do realy like my current standard theme)

But I can't help but wonder why there is no "Opera Theme generator" site, or one built in to the Opera site anyway.
I know there are CSS and coding widgets (even MySpace code generator widgets), but again why nothing dedicated to Opera site design ?

...or please prove me wrong, & point me at something I've missed :-)
