The My Opera Awards Winners

Votes have been pouring in for the last week and it has been very exciting to witness the drama exposed in our mailbox. 
Since we relied on community vote we feel the winners represent the true intent of the community.
Each winner will receive a framed diploma signed by the My Opera team. 
And so, without further ado, let us introduce you to the winners of this years My Opera Awards! We would like to thank everyone who voted and contributed to the success of this event.

First started in July 2006, this group has not only grown in size, but also in quality (recently topped off with a truly excellent blog design). The work done by the moderators is a (optimus) prime example how to manage a group with more than 1200 members. The community has decided that the best group on My Opera 2007 is N+. Congrats to everyone involved! | ||

Dudley has been an active member of the community for a long time and his extraordinary pictures is shared daily in his blog. As a photographer, he covers a huge spectrum of themes, and is therefore rewarded the title "Best photographer". Congratulations — Keep up the great work! | ||

We received several awesome nominations to this category, but only five made it through. This profile picture is not only hilarious, but do complement the blog itself! Upon my imminent milestone of 500 days in this Opera community-
only 16 days away (That’s seems like sorta a weird #, but Hey! Say what?)
I can honestly say this Awards event ranks as the dumbest thing Opera’s
done all year;
I mean really stuuuuuupid! (from my perspective anyways).
Did I vote? No.
I can’t thank everyone enough, on the other hand, for being my online open source Community experience. I have fun, and appreciate this milieu so long as I can enjoy interesting discussion, expressing my views honestly whenever possible, and a sense of candor at least now and then.
That’s OK, isn’t it?
Granted: the winners and the voters had fun!

I made a goof in my comment of Sept 23 and hereby set the record straight.
Regarding my 500 days at the Opera milestone: back around July 9, 2007
(my first anniversary of Opera blogging, photo exhibiting, posting in threads and starting new debates and discussions), my brain hit a math glitch and miscalculated from 365 to 500.
The big day is actually November 4, instead of two days from today
(16 days after the 23rd ).
Oh, Freud, you………..! This should clear up any resulting confusion.
