Got Questions About Opera?

question mark

We're in the process of creating a new Opera publication (which will be published in June), and we are on the look out for any unanswered questions you have about any of our products or services. We'll handpick the best (or the most frequently asked) questions and answer them in our new publication which will be available in both print and a digital version.

So, what you need to do is simply ask a question as a comment in this post and we'll take care of the rest. We'll try to answer everything, but those who'll have their question picked will be mailed a hard copy as well.

Thanks in advance for your help!

When you will fix this bug?

John Barnett 6. March 2008, 15:56

Will you ever consider letting the end user the option to add (approved by Opera) things like Roboform, Zotero and the ability to catch web pages or parts of web pages with the software EverNote the same way it can do in IE7 & FireFox.

I don't want every tom dick and hary to be making extensions, however there are very good tools that can be used in IE7 & FireFox that can't be used in Opera. If Opera had the ability to use these tools I would gladly dump the other Two browser.

Is Opera planning to make the development process more transparent? Currently it doesn't embrace the values of community that seem so important. Its one of the top 5 things that I think Opera could do better.

I'm usin my pc whit 40" screen, and the perfect page zoom would be 170%, but on the Tools -> Perfences -> Web Pages -> Page Zoom has huge steps (150 directly to 180%). Why is that? Cause manually its possible to use 170%. There is no point to zoom every tab separately P:

Please fix this to next beta build
Thanks!

(using 9.50.9815)

My only real question is whether or not any major updates will be made to the Wii Browser, or whether the finished version really is finished.

But I'd also like to know what the chances are of more options being added to the Opera IRC client. I sometimes feel a bit left out, not being able to use colours and stuff like that.

Opera is very popular in Japan, Russia and europe in general, probably in the US too. Since I'm brazilian, I do my best to promote Opera around here, but we're still far behind IE and FF in popularity. What do you guys think about the south american market? Do you have any plans to increase your user base around here?

Thanks!
