Today, the newest version of our small, cool, browser that works on nearly every mobile phone is available for download.

The Mini Team has lately been preparing the final version of Opera Mini 4.1. Since the beta they've done more than 150 changes to fix various issues and to ensure that it will run as well as possible on your device. Many of these changes are based directly on feedback from you.

Among other things they've have adjusted is how the "Save Page" function works and also made it possible for BlackBerry users to surf with Wi-Fi. Also, the person that reported "Find in page does not work in Bookmarks page": Well, we fixed that one as well.

With Opera Mini 4.1 we would like to introduce the following new features:

Opera Mini 4.1 is up to 50% faster than Opera Mini 4.0
Automatically suggest URL completions, making address input easy and intuitive
Web pages can be saved for later off-line viewing
Opera Mini 4.1 gives you quick access to the word or phrase you want in Web pages
Images, ringtones and other content can be downloaded without leaving Opera Mini.

"Opera Mini 4.1 is just great," says Ramunas, a student from Lithuania. "I use it at school to find information on Wikipedia, on the bus to read up on the latest news, and even for blogging. Opera Mini enables me to be up to date with current events from all over the world. K, just tested OM 4.1, and the character counter in a text box still aint working, oh and why cant I select/highlight raw h t t p: // links with 4.1 or did i miss a few upgrades tat xplain in detail why tis option been discontinued?

Character counter depends on the phone you're using. You're shown the maximum characters you can enter, but most phones don't start counting down til the last few.

Are you saying you can't click links?

I like it...just two things:

1. Why can't I type directly into text fields? It always takes me to another page to type in things like USERNAME then I go back to the original page and go down and then I have to go to the input page to type in PASSWORD and then back to the original page to click on LOGIN.

2. I would love to have a signed version so I don't have to "approve" it accessing the Internet every session.

I'm using it and trying it out.
