Adobe Flash Player 10

From adobe.com:

Gain unprecedented creative control with expressive new features and visual performance improvements in Adobe Flash Player 10. :eyes:

Some of you have most likely experienced some sort of audio problems, hikcups (on Mac), freeze after 3 seconds on videos (YouTube for example), etc. Well, we recommend you upgrade to Flash 10 and hopefully will stability shine on us all. :star:

Adobe Flash Player 10 is available immediately as a free download for Windows, Macintosh and Linux platforms (including new support for Ubuntu 7 and 8). Support for Solaris is expected later this year.

Got it!

Léazz 20. October 2008, 10:18

DrLaunch 20. October 2008, 10:31

Actually, the main reason to upgrade is if you're a Linux user. Flash player 10 for Linux solves issues with webcams and unlike earlier, web page elements can be above player embeds, such as in the menus on adobe.com.

Angeliki 20. October 2008, 11:14

I updated already.

Groovy 20. October 2008, 12:01

I tried Flash 10.0.12.36 plugin with Opera in WinXP and it crashes Opera on some sites with Flash! Back to Flash 9.

Charles Schloss 20. October 2008, 12:02

Jamin 20. October 2008, 12:03

Yay! I finally have sound with flash on opera! Works much faster, too. :D

klonkk 20. October 2008, 19:48

the activeX is not recognized by opera, isn't it?

Charles Schloss 20. October 2008, 19:51

ombolan active x is an IE only thing

klonkk 20. October 2008, 19:56

thanks for your answer.
so i ask one question: "why?"

Charles Schloss 20. October 2008, 20:04

ombolan active x was devopled by Microsoft for use only with Windows:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa751972(VS.85).aspx

klonkk 20. October 2008, 20:11

oh yes, thanks again, OLE technic.
so i have to stay with IE ... mostly.

Gary 20. October 2008, 20:23

Why would you do that(??), when you can use opera for everything and have a safer browse!!!

Miladin Miladinoski 20. October 2008, 20:26

Yeah, its pretty much more stable and includes a new feature: You can watch 2-3 vids simultaneously on GNU/Linux! Yes! How could they even think of adding this feature?? p:

Adobe, you suck, but I must use your stupid flash.

Vítor 20. October 2008, 20:26

I'll wait and see...

klonkk 20. October 2008, 20:26

 to use my activeXes

antipro 21. October 2008, 07:02

It can not be installed on my mobile phone. - -||

klonkk 21. October 2008, 08:22

@white_eagle: 3 videos simultaneously?
never heard of the third eye?

Miladin Miladinoski 21. October 2008, 13:51

@ombolan I was reffering to videos as a flash content. If you load more than 3 pages with flash content on them, any browser chokes (FF, Opera, Konqueror).

Ariesptn 21. October 2008, 14:44

Nice. Ready to upgrade.

Or is there any way i can install it in some computers at once?

Nico 21. October 2008, 17:20

Unfortunately, Flash-Upload (like in Wordpress) isn't working anymore with Flash 10. But always remember: Safety first!

klonkk 21. October 2008, 19:48

good to have a second external hard drive with a system backup.

Charles Schloss 21. October 2008, 20:27

HellbillyDeluxe I guess Wordpress has to update their systems to use flash 10, but that is true Safety first

victoramil 21. October 2008, 21:02

klonkk 22. October 2008, 15:02
