Thursday, 4. December 2008, 12:03:51
As 2008 comes to an end we look back at a year packed with big product releases such as Opera 9.5, Opera Mini 4, Opera Mobile 9.5 beta, new opera.com and My Opera, but we are not done yet!
We are very excited to give all of you an early Christmas present — a first glimpse of Opera 10! This release feature the much anticipated Presto 2.2 rendering engine which has improvements across the board in terms of speed, stability, support for Web standards, and a whole lot more. We want you to take the browser for a spin and test some of the user requested features we also included.
Check out the product page on opera.com or the newly released article on Dev.Opera for more information on Opera 10 alpha.

Edit: Loving the software update feature - I've wanted this for ages. Web fonts and other web standards stuff is always a good thing - Opera is always on top of this - just a shame that clients request I build sites for IE6.

Acid 3 test flies! The added info seems to indicate some issues with tests 26 and 69, but still!
Definitely going to give this a hard run, already looking great!

It would be nice to customise Speed Dial to have more than 9 options. One of the main reasons I stuck to Opera was Speed Dial, but when some awesome addons for FF came out that let me have a sprawling 'Fast Dial' I fully converted to FF. Having this option in the new Opera would be great.

Silverlight on http://services.biathlonresults.com/Datacenter.aspx now works fine.
We have waiting so long time for the possibility to sort search engines by drag and drop and up and down button. But there is Nr. 10 an nothing happened. I dont give up my hope for that.

Is it some standard format or?
Other than that. excellent work. Now just put in better support for proxies and encryption (GPG in M2 and perhaps even inline support)
