Localization moving forward

Good news, everyone: Localization is moving forward. We have now added Vietnamese and Russian languages to My Opera! We're still working hard to identify and completing all started translations. We are also aware of some other browser related issues we're working to fix as soon as possible.

Kudos to our Vietnamese community translators Phamlam, namkhanh, GrassNCloud, WhiteJasmine, Tansang, ACornerOfMyMind and wallpearl who helped with the localization efforts.

We also asked a few of the most active community members from Vietnam to explain why they prefer using My Opera as a blogging service and here's what they said:

whitejasmine

If someone asked "What do you love the most on My Opera?", I would say it's the sense of community. Through My Opera, I've acquainted with many friends that have the same hobbies, emotions, characteristics and so on. I get to express my soul, share whatever I see and what I feel. I can listen what others are thinking. My Opera is not only an online network but also a true community that connects many sympathetic souls and achieves the considerable goal of bringing laughter to everyone,” said WhiteJasmine.

phamlam

I have been using My Opera since December, 2005. Although My Opera has changed a lot since then, I am still a loyal member of this community. My Opera is where I share my feelings, experiences and make friends. My Opera has a lot of advantages but the thing I like best is that editing the interface is very flexible. Each person can design their own blog.

My Opera is an online diary that allows people to categorize their blog entries as private, friends only or public. My Opera has a lot of outstanding features, I hope I will I will be connected to this community long into the future,” said phamlam.

namkanh

In 2005, when everyone in Viet Nam started blogging, I tried many other blog services such as Blogger, Live Spaces ... but when I used My Opera I was really impressed by its ability to customize and personalize and above all its an open, friendly community. Everyone should try My Opera! I'm sure you will be convinced, just like me,” said namkhanh.

tansang

I discovered the My Opera community through a friend. My Opera has become a close friend of mine and my family. It's also the place where we share our thoughts, album photos and feelings. I've also met new friends on My Opera, shared things happening in my life, my job and even my computer science experiences. Thanks to the CSS language, I can personalize my blog as I wish. My blog changes its appearance every season and became a canvas for which I am the painter. With an ample 1GB of storage space, I can easily store and share my important documents.

I would like to thank the My Opera community! I hope the community becomes even bigger and stronger,” said Tansang.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed and for all those really cool testimonials.

Thnx once again

And anybody can also read my feelings(My own ones) in my blog  It's quite interesting for everyone who loves his\her natural language

good question.

So, and now, when I use Russian language I understand that there're really a lot of mistakes here, and if I can be useful - write to me, and I'll do my best to improve Opera Community

And also I'd like to tell about the incomprehensibility when I change my site language to Russian and in few minutes come back to this site - my default language becomes English. But my IP is the same in both events and how I can understand it would be better if you set MyOpera default language choice by the setting in profile, so, if I, for example, once chose Russian in my settings it will always be Rusiian because it's my settings
I hope I didn't twist you by byidea

Once again thnx for Russian

Алексей 16. December 2008, 20:04
