Upcoming maintenance

On Wednesday we will take down My Opera at 10:00 a.m. CEST (time zones) to further enhance your community experience. banana

Edit: Due to some unforeseen last minute blockers we are unfortunately forced to push the release a few days until Monday May 25th.

Some of the changes you can look forward to are:

  • Status have been removed from the friends page.
  • We have updated the look of the status field on the home page and made it more visible.
  • The top menu avatar now links to your own page instead of the community home page.
  • A brand new "favorites" page is now available for all users. It can be turned on/off by going to "My page" > "Account" > "Page configuration".
  • Redesigned "Download Opera" page.
  • Redesigned the "Choose Opera" page.
  • Added an affiliate program. :smile:
  • Added twitter to "share this".
  • Added "block" and "ignore" buttons to friends request page.
  • And much, much more!

Hoping the "News" tab shows up when I'm on others blogs like it does when I'm here or on my page.
Also hoping the photo watch list is fixed and being able to edit my own comments in my photos get fixed too. :smile:

What is the difference between block and ignore?

Block stops people from contacting you. Ignore should be site-wide though basically turning off the ability to see a person at all. It's very useful for getting on with things in the midst of flooders which is one of the reasons I asked for it.

The only problem with that is that people tend not to use it because they're paranoid about what people will say about them.
