Auto save of blog posts
Friday, 14. August 2009, 08:58:39
Ever experienced the following scenario: You've been working on the best blog post ever. You've spent countless hours in front of the computer. X amount of coffee have been consumed. You're just about to hit save before your computer freeze and you've just lost everything! ![]()
Well, we've had our share of failure too, so here's finally our solution to it all: Auto save of blog posts.
It works in magic ways (well, not really), but it saves a draft of your post at timed intervals or you can "Save draft" to force a manual save. The posts are private for as long as you're working on it. When you're done, just do what you normally do and publish it. ![]()
We know one member who will be excited about this feature. He has been nagging about it for years, so this is a win-win situation for us. He even visited our office one time to see if any progress were made. Some members are more dedicated than others... ![]()
Anyway, feedback is welcome if you have any comments how to improve the auto save feature! Thanks. ![]()

I used something similar, just in case, when writing longer posts, published my posts as private, then edited them further till they are done, and then putting them up as public

Nope, it never happened to my current compy, but to the Opera: yes. 9.x can crash, when typing too fast…

I suggest you set "No title" as the default when auto-saving.
