Mobile survey

There are many who use a mobile phone to surf My Opera and we want to hear what you think of it. We've prepared a survey and we'd like as many as possible to participate[1]. Thanks!

1 If you don't have a mobile phone, feel free to use the Opera Mini demo to browse on My Opera.

I am having difficulty editing my albums using om. When I sort the images many images get automatically deleted. It's very very hard to manage albums using om.
One more thing, can I have the function of sorting the albums or changing the order of albums, in other words, can I bring album #1 to #3 position, #4 position etc. ? I think you get what I want to say.

Freeman 19. October 2009, 07:46

Funny enough I've never used a desktop browser to access this site, I've always used Opera Mini.

Przemysław 19. October 2009, 07:52

I can't expect anything more from mobile browser. Opera Mini has more features than I actually need. It's simple to use and it doesn't have problems with showing websites. Well done!

Kaitz 19. October 2009, 08:17

Like KYren, i also have difficulty sorting my photos, err.. n0t just difficulty, but i cannot sort my photos at all (e.g. trasferring my photos to any existing albums) when using opera mini. But the best thing about opera mini on mobile is that it's very handy! You can browse the web anytime, anywhere! There were times during my out-of-town trip when i cannot use my laptop at all 'cause there's no internet connection. It's a good thing i have Opera mini installed on my fone!

Beautiful browser. Great for Facebook. I'd love a dictionary on Opera5 though.

Serola 19. October 2009, 11:12

That was rather limited survey :frown:

Here's some qualitative data, in case someone's interested:
1) I prefer to use mobile view on forums.
2) Desktop view is better on blogs.
3) Collapsed menu would be nice. I suggest adding 'View full menu' button.
4) Add separator above signatures on mobile view, please...
5) Less content is okay on mobile view but not on desktop view.
6) Thanks & keep on doing a good job

I'm using Opera Mini 5 beta on a LG KS360 Chatterbox and have but a few notes. Firstly, I am unable to use the inline edit feature (when I press Fn it just puts a space). Secondly, it would be nice if the cursor was optional, as Opera Mini 4.2 had the standard up up, down down, left page up, right page down, which was very useful to me as I read a lot of books on FanFiction.Net. Thirdly, on all of the O. Mini's the text constraint was a pain when sending emails from gmail, as it only allowed you to write >>

Eugén Jens Jung 19. October 2009, 11:41

about 500 characters per text field, as has just happend to my post above. Fourthly, when pages load on O. Mini 5 beta the loading bar sticks at the very end, eg. 4/5kb, and also freezes the cursor. After about three or so seconds, the loading bar disappears and it's fine again, however it can be quite irksome. Other than that, O. Mini will always be my preferred browser of choice.

AnastasiaCarroll 19. October 2009, 11:58

It seems to work slower and has only English keyboard, no other languages. So I had to go back to Opera Mini 4.2

Cosmos Emmanuel 19. October 2009, 12:13
