New Opera Logo
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 9:11:20 AM
Last Friday we updated the Opera corporate logo. Our main goal is to present a consistent brand.
This is part of an ongoing design-profile update process. You may still occasionally see the old logo a few place, so if you come across the old Opera logo, it would be great if you let the Web masters know there's a new Opera logo and ask them kindly to follow our guidelines.
Thanks!

The green-shirt image example on page 6 looks un-acceptable to me.

Actually, PDF is an open standard. And universally used. And why would they serve the press with a format they most likely wouldn't know how to use (SVG)?

I wasn't suggesting removing pdf. As for "not knowing how to use SVG", they could try opening it in the software by the very company they're reviewing. I would have imagined Opera would benefit from promoting a feature of its own software to the press.
As for spotting the old logo, a few of these sites are long defunct so there might not be much point in updating them, but here's some pages still flying the older flag:
http://distribute.opera.com/distribution/
http://composer.opera.com/composer6/
http://portal.opera.com/termsofservice/ (at the bottom)
http://portal.opera.com/portal/faq/ (at the bottom)
http://portal.opera.com/accounts/signup/ (at the bottom)
http://unite.opera.com/
http://snapshot.opera.com/
http://help.opera.com/Windows/10.10/en/
http://oxine.opera.com/documentation/
http://xmlstore.labs.opera.com/ (this ones in black)
http://team.opera.com/snapshot/crashlogs/
Also, as a "consistent brand" is now the priority, does OperaNet need a new one: http://irc.opera.com/ ?
