Help shape the future of My Opera

My Opera has been growing a lot this year (check the stats) and it seems like you're having fun blogging, sharing photos and whatnot. Like everything else, My Opera has to evolve and our designers and coders are busy working on improving the site. Over the years we have been gathering feedback from various forum posts and chatting with our most active members, but we want to give you a chance to let your voice be heard, so we've prepared a forum post where you can tell us what you want!

We are currently working on our "grand plan"* for 2010 and we have a new version of My Opera in the making, but before we do too much work we want to hear any ideas or suggestions you may have.

Please keep the discussion serious. No trolling or bashing, please. We really want to tailor My Opera to your needs. Those with the best arguments how to improve My Opera might get them fulfilled!

* Yes, world domination is a goal.

How do you improve on something so good? Maybe being able to track MyOpera in Disqus - or - having MyOpera connect and track lots of other social networks other than Twitter and FaceBook. MSN Live! Spaces might be a good one to add?

Do away with (trash) the Community Photo Most visited section. Replace it with Community Photo Most FUNNY section - single photo shots only!

Have a Community Cooking Section and feature recipes and chefs Andreas Viestad, Tina Nordstrom and Claus Meyer and other notable Opera gourmets!

I want opera to handle irc chat better (allow us to have a permi bar across the bottom or something

) and more stable. Using the chat seems to randomly crash Opera cut sound from videos :S

I want Opera sync to save my RSS feeds and mail.

Option to make Blog in Unite and sync selected entries with MyOpera blog. Option in Opera browser to move "data" to Unite blog. Something like right click option "Move to Blog" that would start new blog entry with data that was marked in any Opera Browser tab (adress bar url, adress in some web page, text on some web page, picture etc).

If Blog application in Unite is possible, option to move some entries to other "blog" systems (tweeter, facebook etc).

Please fix the shoutbox if you can... I keep getting notified that someone posted on it, and when I go to read it, it's just... not there! More control over who can post and who cannot would also be very helpful

I would love a friends only option for the shoutbox. I hate spam comments.

I'd also like to see the option for individuals to detail why they want to be added as a friend. Too many friend requests from absolute strangers that leaves mee wondering why I should add them.

I would like both way synchronisation of facebook status... when I update my fb status it should appear in my opera. Also the status edit in my opera is too small- both the text box and the allowable size.

My opera portal is a good start but needs more work to make it truly usable.

I use ubuntu and the flash photo uploader does not work at all... it crashes opera but returns an error (invalid file format) in firefox.

Id likE to see more colour! Make it easier to dwnload photos fr mobile to opera. Change the look of opera, lie facebook ie so much easier to navigate thru ie simplify. To go somewhere else on opera is a long trip. Sori make easir to dwnload profile pic as i stil cnt get mine done
