Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile

Opera Mobile 10 beta

This version for Windows Mobile users elevates mobile browsing to a desktop-like experience, helping people to search, socialize and stay connected while on-the-go.

The Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile looks and feels similar to the Opera 10 desktop browser and Opera Mini 5 beta. Opera is creating more cohesion between its products by introducing a unified look across many of its platforms. Opera maintains its powerful arsenal of features in this beta, including Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, a password manager and its super, server-side compressor, Opera Turbo.

If you don't care about that, download Opera Mobile 10 for Windows Mobile phones. cool

cannot click on "accept/exit" on HP514, the pointer goes 1 pixel above the buttons at most. softkeys not working too.
cannot click on any link in the agreement.

Doctortainment Wednesday, November 18, 2009 8:20:15 AM

Great one indeed but as in the beta version of the OPERA MINI 5, the exclusion of the "Sync tab" & the unavailability of skins are the only exclusions that stands in my way of making OPERA Mobile my primary browser.

Alexislexiz08 Wednesday, November 18, 2009 8:36:18 AM

I can't use it. I don't have Windows Mobile bigsmile

But I use Opera Mini 5. yes

The user interface has been designed with both touchscreen and keypad-style mobile phones in mind. -- http://www.opera.com/mobile/features/

also mouse arrow controlled by dpad means that this build supports not only touchscreen devices.

but softkeys on my toshiba g500 don't work too

Can't hit "Accept" either on my non-touchscreen Windows Mobile 6.1 device, the function keys don't work either.
Will there ever be another Opera version for Windows Mobile Smartphones WITHOUT touchscreen? Opera Mini 5 doesn't work either. sad

Sami Serolaserola Wednesday, November 18, 2009 11:14:15 AM

Download link on this news post does not work. And does this version differ somehow from what's been already tested during the last two weeks?

EDIT: Oh, this one is for Windows Mobile doh Now I understood.

Kalpeshkalpesh.mistry Wednesday, November 18, 2009 11:22:03 AM

works fine in my Asus P527(with wm6.5 rom.)

it would be better if the text writing part like web address had a support to write down by keypad.. and if it had option for an inbuilt keyboard like opera mini..

Kalpeshkalpesh.mistry Wednesday, November 18, 2009 11:25:46 AM

turbo works good up

Works great on Samsung Omnia i900. Much better than 9.5/9.7beta. My new primary browser, goodbye Skyfire.

Sebbit2 Wednesday, November 18, 2009 3:16:40 PM

Works also great on LG KS20, but I would like to see the Windows Mobile Taskbar on top (network status, time, run other programs parallely, etc.) Without it you're very limited :-(

It does say in the description you can use keypad navigation. Heck, the N79 in the photo is not a touch screen phone! How did they get it running there?

Snake Doctormanuelromney Wednesday, November 18, 2009 7:45:33 PM

how do i transfer my bookmarks from the touch pro2 stock rom version into this?

josdelan Wednesday, November 18, 2009 9:09:11 PM

I've installed the browser but the menu or accept and stop or exit buttons (Samsung sgh-i616 running winmo 6.1) don't work. This is very awkward for a browser that set itself up as the default browser. It looks interesting, way different from my old favourite 8.65 browser. (Are there any suggestions about this dilemma?) Reading through the comments I see the problem is a common one. any suggestions from the opera crew? worried

jeffc99 Thursday, November 19, 2009 1:24:28 AM

I'm having the same problem accepting the EULA on my Samsung Jack (non-touch screen). Neither softkeys nor d-pad works to click the link. Hopefully they'll be putting out a fix for that.

syours Thursday, November 19, 2009 1:53:33 AM

same problem of not being able to get to the"accept" or "exit" buttons on my q9c..... VERY frustrating! Any solutions at all out there?
