I guess one of the most awesome moments was finishing Chrono Trigger (the best video game ever) and then finding out the new option "New Game+". At that time it was like "WOW! This was unexpected but a very cool idea. I hope other games will incorporate something like this in them too."
The game itself was just brilliant, so the game itself was a very great experience, but then it was crowned with that special feature discovery.
Well, until now there haven't been too many games having similar feature in them, making this discovery even more valuable and unique experience for me.

The most awesome kill must have been our Grand Widow Faerlina kill. The first time we ever tried her with no buffs or pots of any kind we got her down with only one death. It's the most amazing teamwork in any game I've ever seen.
Sorry for non WoW people who didn't understand much of this comment

When I was a child. I was playing warcraft2 like a crazy. My mom won't let me play during night so i was sneaking to the pc room quietly when everybody were sleeping.
One time, it was about 3am and i was kickin' som Orc hordes and i needed to go pee immedietly. I had two choices. Wake up my mum or use nearest window instead. Guess what I did.
But hey, thanks to that i was playing warcraft2 till the morning !! Awesome game

All of your travel companions had a story to them and the game made you want to discover as much of that story as possible with each one of them. Even characters that didn't travel with you had well written and well told histories and nuances to them that made them all unique and interesting.
The story, oh the story! From the beginning of the game I was caught and hooked into this world and this character that served as a focal point into a whole new universe. You wanted to do every mission and go search in every corner just in case there might be something in there that could tell you more about this person and this world.
To this day, Torment remains one of the few games that I could replay, and it is the only RPG that I ever replayed (many times) and each time I played it, I discovered something new or found some new piece of information.

I was playing the best game ever, The Day of the Tentacle, with my cousin. We usually played at her home, then at evening, when my parents came back from work we went home. Then I would phone her to see if she had made any new "discoveries", and then I would just turn on my old 386 and play it, if I found anything knew I would phone her and she would to the same to me.
I will never forget the experience when we managed to defeat the evil purple tentacle! we hugged the next day!

"Hey, where are we going now?", I said.
"Let's go to the next bulkhead and leave this area", my friend replied.
He was then dropped by the game (as I mentioned, bugged netcode). After a few seconds he joined the game once again. In the place where died the game spawned all of the equipment he was carrying at the time of the disconnection. The odd thing was he had exactly the same items in his inventory and when i decided to pick some of the stuff up and give it to him some strange situation took place.
"(I am giving my friend his armor) Here, take it. You left it when the game kicked you out"
"What? What's this? I didn't lose any of my equpiment"
"Alright, take this armor, we'll have a spare one"
"What armor?"
"The one i just gave you"
"You gave me a medkit... Or am I making this up?"
"Give it to me, I don't believe it"
He gave me the once-it-was-armor. It was magically transformed into a medkit...

You could play MK1 in two players on the same keyboard. It had its standard controls, and it did not let you configure them.
My sister was younger than me, and she wanted to play with the arrow keys and the numpad, or else she wouldn't play with me.
So I was left with the "WSAD" keys for moving (or SXZC, can't remember) and the "UIJNM" keys for fighting. Since I am right handed, I used my right hand on "WSAD" and my left hand on "UIJNM". I kept my hands crossed, the left one over the right, and that's how I learned playing MK. Even as I got the older versions, which have customizable keys, I still used (and still to this day use those keys), keeping my hands crossed on the keyboard.
People who see me play MK like that say it's weird. But that's the way I like it.
It was fun then, and it's fun now, and I still kick ass at MK

Of those highly favorited games, the prominent one is obiously Aliens vs Predator II.
I remember, as a corporate solider, the distinctive noise of the minigun spinning, only waiting for one of those creepy aliens to show its mouth.
I remember, as a colonial marine, the taste of fear in my mouth while wandering in those dark corridors with for sole companion the noise of my move detector freaking me out due to incoming aliens.
I even remember, as an alien, the pure joice of eating one of these lightbulbs pink heads of colonial marine after having stay hidden below the roof of that same dark corridor.
But what I remember with the greatest pleasure is the feel of the hunt in my green blood, when my disk clipped heads that I wore as trophies, when my spear-gun nails these heads on walls, or even when I unghosted just in front of one of those stupid marines just to slice them ! Oh, the joice of it.
Obviously, all that was during night-time, when I was 25.
And what I remember with the greatest fear was the sshadows around my computer screen. Those shadows that could do nothing but hide aliens, or predators ...
Thinking about it raises that fearful feeling in me, even now ...

In October 2009, me and my friends Yazan and Raed, started ordering our new dream machines, three very high-end PCs, and we have done ordering them in November.. 4 weeks ago, all of the 3 PCs were ready for building.. so we built them part by part and that took us 10 hours to finish!!
Three weeks ago, each of us brought his PC and we gathered in my apartment; and we started playing our favorite games.. starting with
Call of Duty 4 and Left 4 Dead 2 and other FPS games and some soccer.. of course we play those games a lot with our old machines but it's different with the new ones, and of course we have our own CoD4 clan and we are planning to extend it to Bad Company 2..
That was the first time i play with a gaming mouse!! and a gaming PC, so at first it was difficult to get used to the new mouse, then few hours later i was like a flying monkey!! shooting and pwning all!! that day it was the first time for me that i get such a high score in Call of Duty 4: 140 kills with 67 deaths!! another great experience for me was when i finished Modern Warfare 2 with the Veteran difficulty!! that was a huge challenge to me..
Thank you Opera for giving us this great chance.. Best Team!

You run and Hack and Slash monsters, and then level up.
My best gaming experience was when I found the Secret Cow Level. It gets too mental running away from all those killer cows who are trying to smash you up!!!

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Metroid II for the Gameboy - it took me ages to beat them and I was so happy when I did that I started playing them over and over again - and then again on the Super Gameboy thing for the SNES...and again on the Gameboy Colour
Following that, every reincarnation of those series blew me away and I still play them as often as possible in 2D, 3D and on the road!

Was blown away by the simplicity and high speed of this game. It was like Kung Fu in a FPS Game.
We played with our choppy rigs and 56k Modems all day long. I dont't know what it was but I couldn't stop it.
Afte a couple of weeks (!) intense playing I thought I was good or something, but playing a match
with some kind of "professional players" ended up in a complete nightmare. You look at those guys with all their rocket jumps,
which fit perfectly into the map. You spawn - you're dead. Normally I would be frustrated and played another game but this wasn't the case.
Please don't remind me how much money I spent on my Internet Connection (56k modems - time based), how often I missed something and so.
Completely addicted. But I was getting better. With couple of my friends we formed a clan and had LAN Partys.
From there it transformed from work to fun play. There is nothing better to shout a "Got You!" through the room to the guy you just fragged.
If you ask me, whats so special about Quake 3 Arena - I don't know. Maybe the perfect balance, the maps, the community...I don't know.
And tody it is back! I felt like a little kid when Quake Live Open Beta opened - back in good old times. and nothing has changed...

Fallout 3! hours and hours and days and days and weeks and weeks of playing without getting close to exploring the full map/finding all the cities, hideouts and places....wonderful atmosphere, good difficulty setting, tons of quests, super add-ons...
2 very little negative aspects were the limited diversity in the radio shows and the possibility to always choose dialog option 1.) for being friendly.

Well my best recent gaming experience was Napoleon Total War in multiplayer mode.
However Total War was genius itself with its round based gameplay. But the multiplayer mode added in Napoleon just hit me.
Well i started playing last saturday, although i should have learned for some exams. My friend took russia and i played as the UK. As you could image, our goal was to dominate whole europe together. Actually Prussia, Austria and Turkey were easy to overtake, together, so we thought it wouldnt be such a hard deal to conquer whole europe ... BUT we forgot about france with its leader Napoleon.
Our game took already 11 hours but the French still wouldnt wanna get defeatet. Napoleon pwned us in EVERY single battle, no matter how huge our armys were. By then there were only 4 nations left, Me(UK), my friend(Russia) nad France which was allied with Spain. And those 2 Nations drove us back on the countryside up to Budapest, as on the sea.
We were pretty desperate ...
So we got up with the idea of "kamikaze" atacking paris ...
Anyway the "Battle for Paris" took 40 Minutes and we luckily won. And after we did that hit into the "heart" of france we did the rest of them
However it was awesome ... and it would be even more awesome if i won a copy of Battlefied BC2 xDD

The old LAN-parties with my friends are definitely on the top of the list here. There are so many good moments!
One that comes to mind right now is an epic Age of Empires 2 match. It lasted so long we had to take lunch brakes mid-game! The match naturally occurred at night time, but with enough frozen pizza and coke, human beings can do pretty well even without sleep.
When the game finally came to an end, after numerous epic battles - we were amazed when we checked the stats screen. Time played was over six hours! That's a lot! Five people dedicated six hours in their life to one match! That's amazing right?!
Want to know what's even better? I won the match!

In fact most of my best memories playing video games was playing console RPGs with my friend Chris. We had an equally pleasant time playing through Secret of Mana, Breath of Fire, and Breath of Fire II. Breath of Fire II was a game neither one of us owned as we couldn't find a store nearby which carried it. We would rent that game from Alfalfa Video (later changed to Blockbuster), fighting each other over who got the game next -- so much in fact each of our parents literally formed a treaty establishing that we would take turns renting the game. Chris never played Chrono Trigger with me although I consider it every bit Final Fantasy VI's equal. I'm unsure why. He borrowed my game years later to play it.
I had many experiences with computer games, especially Monkey Island, Out of this World, Warcraft II, Syndicate, StarCraft, and Unreal Tournament. Despite my choice of nickname here I spent infinitely more time in front of a computer playing StarCraft than I did WarCraft II.

Playing straight through a weekend to complete Starglider 2 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starglider_2 )
Hm, another one: Playing one of the Super Mario games with a mate on the SNES for hours. After that we went out for a bit of dance and drink. I vividly remember the flashes of Super Mario coming back while on the dance floor. Very odd and trippy (and no, no illegal substances involved either).
Yeah, I'm an old fart, but I still like to spend a few hours in a decent game...

1) [PSX] Final Fantasy VII. The best JRPG ever created. And it's from 1997!! The songs... the graphics, the STORY, the CHARACTERS. I finished it 3 times at least. And I bought it original in 2009 only to have it as a collection. Epic parts and personal opinion below.
- When you need to dress as a girl to save Tifa, who was kidnaped.
WOOW!!! i didn't expect that from a game. This made me feel like this was an unique JRPG.
- When RED XIII discovers that his father was NOT a coward and he alone saved Cosmo Canyon. A HERO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnuyl4dDBIs
Every time I see it I drop tears of emotions..
- Aerith been killed by Sephiroth. He IS the baddest antagonist of all times.
So sad an epic.... but is worth the wait to see Cloud using Omnislash on him, on the last fight. Who didn't want to be Cloud on that part to slash Sephiroth?
2) [PC] Psychonauts. This game made me sense the feeling that only good old games can make. When you travel from mind to mind. EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT, you feel like you're in a GIANT WOLRD on every one. The shame is that I paid $2 for this game on a Steam offer
As you can see, FF VII is so far my favourite game. I would share more of my best gaming experiences to you but I think that if I mention them of every game I will write below, you guys will get bored
Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Mana, Legend of Legaia, Driver 1, Pepsiman, 3X Xtreme, FF VIII & IX, Dark Cloud 2, Xenogears, Digimon 1, Crash Team Racing, Crash Bandicoot 1 & 3, Chocobo Racing, Resident Evil 2 & 3, The Bouncer, Beyond Good & Evil, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Series, Zeno Clash, The Witcher, Half Life Series.
Greetings from Argentina. And thanks Opera Desktop Team for this opportunity.

This was a 5 vs 5 clan match. It was the last round. I don't remember the score but both teams had the same score, so this round would determine who would win.
I was alone against 3, i was surrounded in an small building with two entrances. First one of them came and i took him out. Then the two left stormed in and i took them out as well
Then my team on teamspeak went crazy cause we won the match

Another interesting gaming story is far more recent. I was at a LAN party in Pittsburgh in August a few years ago. During a break in the action of the party, I started an online chat with a girl I'd met a few months earlier. We ended up chatting through the night, complete with 15-20 minute breaks for me to go compete in tournaments. The greatest parts of the this were that 1.) we kept the convo going just as interesting and lively when I returned from one of the aforementioned breaks, 2.) she was tolerant of my gaming talk and occasional gloating or moaning about the outcome of a match, 3.) by the end of the discussion--when she had to go to sleep because she was leaving for college the next day--we'd set up a date (my first real date in several months, her first in more than a year). We met up, fell in love, and we've been dating since.
