Whoever said you can only be insightful while sitting in front of your computer? Now when you have something to post on your blog you can do so while on the go using our mobile blog feature.

Step 1: Enable MMS

To update your blog from your mobile phone, you must first enable the MMS function for your blog. Simply check the "Enable MMS" box when you first create your blog in My Opera. If you already have a blog, go to your blog´s setting page and check the "Enable MMS" checkbox.

Shortly afterwards, you can find your MMS key on the sidebar of your account page, as well as on your blog page when you are logged in.

Step 2: Be Creative!

My Opera's mobile blogging feature allows you to post to your blog no matter where you are. Blog on the subway as you head to work, while waiting in line at the bank or even as you listen to a boring lecture in class. If the mood strikes you or you simply have something important to say, you no longer have to rush back to your desktop to say it. Just enter the text into your phone and stay in touch at all times.

Step 3: Beam It Up!

Posting to your blog could not be simpler. All you need to do is send an MMS containing your text to your secret key. That text will then appear on your blog as a new posting. Instructions on getting this secret key are listed above. Remember to hold on to this information in order to update your blog. You could even store it as a new contact on your mobile phone for easy access.

Step 4: Your Post Has Landed

Your MMS has been sent and the text is now posted on your blog. Now you can sit back, relax and enjoy as other Opera community members comment on your thoughts. If your phone has a full Web browser such as Opera, simply log on and check your blog and access all the other features in My Opera.

Following up on our "Speed Dials Hot Pick" contest earlier this year we are looking for some new backgrounds. If you're a talented designer or photographer we want to put your art on display.

The image resolution has to be at least 1600 x 1200 pixels (or higher). We don't care how or where you upload it, but bonus points to those who create a photo album on My Opera or writes a blog post and attach the background files directly.

We expect high quality on the Speed Dial backgrounds. Have a look on our current ones to get a feeling of what we're looking for. Aim for the skies and you might hit us (ouch, cheesy line...).

Our top-notch designers will evaluate and pick freely their favorite entries. We'll announce the picks earliest Rocktober 1st. We reserve the right to extend the contest if necessary. You must own the rights to the image and you agree that we can publish it on My Opera as a free download later. We'll credit you with a link to your page with your name on the Speed Dial backgrounds page.
