Beta of Opera Mini 4 is here!

To start with, give it up for the best mobile Web developers in the world! They've been working day and night to give you a sweet and improved browsing experience for your mobile phone.

We know many of you use Mini on My Opera to blog, read posts, upload photos, chat with friends, so we hope this beta will make your online life easier (and faster).

So, what's going on today? Well, a lot of cool stuff. For one, there's a new challenge here at My Opera where you can win a brand new mobile phone (it's hot, believe us).

If you want to chat about the beta we suggest you join #operamini on IRC (if you're using Opera just click the link, if not, read more).

Secondly, we think you should have a closer look at 10 reasons to love Opera Mini 4 beta.

Hmmm... The feedback link doesn't want to work for me from either Mini. So I'll whack it here.

Using t-mobile on my sony ericsson w850i in the uk I can't make a new blog post with the beta. It just previews the post and swaps the actual post with the tags text. Also, the smallest text size is HUGE!

For general browsing though, truly excellent. And I love the zoom in, zoom out function. Thanks Opera.

Yah,i thought by clicking 'small' font,i'll get the font as small as OM3,but its huge... I dont like it.N i cant change the skin anymore![want the pink or the snow one].But its ok!its fast! i love Dimension

There's a few formatting issues, not least the position of the two checkboxes next to the comments box. I can't tell which is which. The zoom is cool :up:

It's fine and really fast but few issues.the pictures are very low quality in case high quality is not selected(they looked better in earlier versions.sites like orkut are crippled as many buttons can not b clicked(even those which functioned in earlier versions.) but the site rendering has surely improved alot.no new supports for downloading contents and uploading files.so only few things new.not upto my expectations anyways.

its cool but not something wow for me.its still needs work i tried logging to my opera community but i couldn't i had to re-enter my log in information 6 times! & had problems like this is other sites as well,lets hope this is just because this is not a final version,hopefully you'll tell us when the final version is out so that we can really feel the improvement,its fast though but i still can't let go of the old version for the time being. I love opera thats why i always try to give my true feelings so that the team doesn't get misled.anyways good job guys! i bet we'll see more improvements in the future.

On sonyericsson F500i+Vodafone bad. "Failed to connetct.."

But the opera hifi viprdome hu v.3.1.7139 same options good.
(When i want use opera 3.0 than i have some problem, but with 3.01 was good..

I have biggest problem. I am not able to download 4 beta on my Nokia 6235 (Tataindicom service provider-India) with in built openwave browser. It download to 50% then stops failed to download. So please make available pc download option for operamini 4 beta. It just take seconds to download via pc to mobile phone. Previous operamini 3.1 work excellent. I used pc download option, handset & country specific.

Hey, and also here in the prison somewhere on the world, we got OM 4 beta.
It's really so cool and has a special features but actually we faced a problem with the arabic text, it comes on opposite.
So go on and on Opera, nothing will stop you.

You know I'm really trying to like this, but... Maybe it's the huge font or that there was so much build up and speculation... Ugh, I wanted to be able to open multiple windows or something, not have OM4 GUESS where I want to read and make me scroll two ways to read it. Yes, I know I can use "fit to.." but that looks pretty bad even compared to OM3. I know it's free...still, please don't allude to other mystery features only to disappoint. Bleh.

First thing 1st i love opera for providing such a beauty for free .It would have earn you a lot. Now i have used beta for hours now. Positive (1)dam good view of page so that on familier site u dont have to browse till end (2)mouse rocks make u feel on pc(3)fast(4)autofixing of of zoow rectangle makes u align well. NEGATIVE (1)use more data for same page (2)stil no improvement in basic as stil cant use in orkut to scrap,add frd, join grup and many more(3)through u out of site and have to log in again and again but u takle it with back button stil time wil waste. In the end use it and you wil lv it.If negative are there in final version it wil let down my opera hope.If not u can earn million from it
