Opera Mini was officially approved for the iPhone and iPod Touch on April 12, 2010, 20:56:00 UTC.

Opera Mini, with more than 50 million users worldwide, enables fast mobile Web browsing by compressing data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the device, resulting in significantly improved page loading. Users of the app will notice an uptake in speed, especially on slower networks such as the 2G Edge network.

Surfing the Web with the Opera Mini App on iPhone and iPod touch will also help users save money because of its data compression capabilities. This will hold especially true while the user is incurring roaming charges.

At last! Opera for iPhone!!! Now let's hope it was built with native Object C and no cross compiler.

Good movement from apple to allow software that can really compete with the iphone flag software, finally they take a desition that benefit the users... now I hope that Opera mini use the apple objetive C compiler and not a second layer, please don't give an excuse to be rejected in the future.

This is just awesome and fast browser. But there is a major problem that it does not re-direct you to the top of the page when you tap on the status bar. Can you please implement them in next update??
