Opera Talks

Håkon Wium Lie (also known as "howcome") gave his speech "The web everywhere: $10 paperbacks, $50 phones, $100 laptops and $250 game consoles". Opera's Anne van Kesteren gave his speech on HTML5 (we also hope to get Håkon's speech uploaded soonish).

Opera booth

Almost all who came to the Opera booth were familiar with Opera. Some were Opera or Opera Mini users. Most were very receptive and keen to try out Opera. Mini had great reception. When it works on phones, people are immediately and audibly impressed.

Not only because of the contents, but I am still amazed by OperaShow... note to self: use OperaShow to impress colleagues some time

Great video, I really like the OLPC project and with people like Håkon really pushing the net to an open standard platform (what it should be) it will be really great. Imagine people in South Brazil watching a theora video about the second world war in the school or listening to Music from Mozart in the ogg/vorbis format with opera on a 100$ laptop, that would be awesome.
