Many have come to know him from his proposal of CSS which has truly shaped the way we all view the Web.

If you'd like to leave a bit of encouragement, leave a note here. :D

In 1999, when CSS1 and CSS2 had been written, I joined Opera Software to ensure that the specifications were implemented correctly by at least one browser.

Very nice read. Especially chapter 10

'Dr.' Lie,

I would like to wish you my very best in your PhD endeavor. Hope all goes well.

I use CSS in my web development all the time, thanks to you. Though, with the advent browsers implementing different versions of CSS and some even their own CSS extensions, it can get kind of frustrating. Last night I spent about 4 hours trying to get the correct CSS layout (using columns) of the new Opera Watch site in all major browsers. It wasn't easy

Doctor means teacher in English; indeed you already are that. Your publications on CSS have have taught me and many. Thanks Doc.

Interesting and informative - I did not read it end to end yet but saved a bookmark for further reading.

I might have discovered a little bug in Opera along the way... I was reading fullscreen, when reaching the bottom I restored Opera from fullscreen with a second strike of F11 - and got jumped somewhere many screenfuls up :D

Keep shaping the world of CSS.

Seb
