Wii're here!

The release of the final version of the Opera browser for Wii is currently scheduled for late March 2007. Users who download Opera before June 30, 2007, can continue to use the browser at no cost for the lifetime of the Wii system!
The Opera browser for Wii is based on the same standards compliant core as Opera 9, and includes the Adobe Flash Plug-in. This means that Web sites can be tested using the latest version of the Opera desktop browser. Our Chief Web Opener, David Storey, recently wrote an article for people who own or are responsible for developing web sites, and how they can make sure their site is compatible for Wii. Read it here.
We have created an optimized exclusive My Opera splash page for users accessing from Wii. My Opera for Wii will feature gaming news, spotlighted bloggers and groups, as well as links to forums about gaming and Nintendo Products. We would like to get as much feedback as possible, so tune in to http://my.opera.com/community/wii/ and share your experience with us in this post.

Why can't I upload photos to my Opera profile if it is "optimized" for Wii?
Also, will the browser support movie formats such as WMA when it finally comes out in `07?
Other than that and some occasional glitches, the browser is solid.
Well... one more thing. I takes a while to type with the on-screen keyboard and my job is writing articles at the gaming blog; aeropause.com. I really would like to see support for a USB keyboard when the final product has been released so I can make Opera my primary browser that I use. Sorry but if I'm gonna have to work on my PC I'm sticking with Mozilla. If I could work on my Wii, I'd be running Opera all day.
Thanks for hearing me out, and I hope you guys can use my feedback to make Opera for Wii a revolution.

- Unstable, will freeze if you try to click on links while the page is still loading.
- Should have the quicktime and windows media player plug-ins.
- Should allow you to download pictures, this would be great for the photo channel.
- Do something about the giant ugly bar at the bottom.
- Support shockwave. Then people can use the Wii to play even more games.
- Don't have thumbnails of websites in favs. It takes a while to load, especially with 6 or more. Just have text.
Fix those things and this already amazing system will be 10 times better.

Shockwave is strictly Windows-only (possibly Mac). It is not possible to use Shockwave unless Adobe creates an SDK and allows people to port it.
