Dual Opera Contests - Something for Everyone

me and my nokia
Artistic Entries To kick off the release of Opera's debut on the Nokia 770, we're giving away two of these cool little gadgets. Here's how you win: print out a life-sized picture of the Nokia 770. Show us how you would use the device if you had the real thing. The two submissions the community judge as being the best will have their paper mock-ups replaced by the real thing! Sign up and read more about the contest. Programming Participation If you're more interested in showing off your coding skills, we've got you covered there too. With the recent introduction of Opera Platform, we're wanting to see what kind of cool mobile AJAX applications users can come up with. We've also published a few tutorials to help you along. The 1st place winner will win a new Nokia N70. If you need help with your project, you can ask a question or look around the Platform forum once you have applied for the group. Sign up and read more about the contest. Both contests will also have plenty of other fun prizes for runners-up, so show us what you're made of! party

Wow, Opera's really going for it wink. Great initiative in trying to make people think more creatively smile.

I hope this helps more people join. These contests rule and I love the awesome Opera Mini giveaway.

If I edit my avatar, will that count towards the prize?

That's right. Two sweet contests - but only one entry. I'm creating a Fundarr widget that shows the awesome things I'm going to do with the 770. Two birds. Meet one stone.

I'm neither an artist nor a programmer. Can I get one of those free Nokia 770?

I can't wait to see the AJAX ideas people come up with - I'm using Opera Mini now and think this is going to be a big part of the internet's future!

Is there any limitation on the technology that we can use? I mean:
- Can we use javascript with floating point operations?
- Can we use svg?
