Your Face in Times Square!

Today we proudly announce that one lucky Opera user will have his or her face on the gigantic ABC SuperSign in New York's Times Square on New Year's Eve! Opera owes everything to you, the millions of devoted Opera users around the world, and we have rented advertising space at the most high-profile New Year's party in the world to thank you. Nearly one million party-goers will witness our supersized fan tribute on the 585 square foot (that's 54 square meters!) screen on the last night of our anniversary year, and one of YOU gets to represent the entire Opera community. Let's finish the year off with a huge bang!

All Opera users have the opportunity to be spotlighted, with one lucky user selected. All you have to do is send us your photograph, along with the reason why you think YOU deserve to be featured on the big screen. To top it off, we will fly (or bicycle) the lucky Opera user with a guest to New York City for the New Year's celebrations, where you will be staying at one of New York's premiere hotels and receive two tickets to ABC's New Year's Eve party. Starting on December 26 and climaxing on New Year's Eve, the video tribute will be on rotation at least nine times a day for a whole week.

So let's make this the grand finale that will be remembered for years!

Hahaha Brilliant! I'm lovin the e-cards, too.
But it would be really cool if I could allow visitors could send my photos as e-cards.

I presumed they could.. so told a bunch of people to go send e-cards.
And they obviously couldn't do it.

fluffybunny 15. December 2005, 10:53

I want it to be me soooooo much!!! :frown:

brianj 15. December 2005, 11:04
