smiley challenge winners

As in every contest there can only be one winner, and this time it was seaempty who was first. Big grats to him and kudos for being so fast!

Without further ado here are the correct answers:

Answer: 75.

Question: How many hidden smilies are there?

Answer: 6.

Question: What do you have to type to make the hidden smilies appear?

We also had a bonus question! We received a lot of creative and cool suggestions what smilies you want to use here at My Opera. We will fight discuss the matter internally before we decide which to implement (TBA).

YAY! hooray for all! I took a wild shot in the dark once the contest started and guessed FIVE secret smilies! AH! I shouldave said 6! but then i never would have gotten the 3rd question.

you know something to note is that on dark blogs some smilies don't show up well. For instance "HA HA" on top of: :lol: does not display against black.. Neither do the horns on: :devil:

By default smilies should display the correct version depending on their template.

We should also have the option to choose whether we want dark theme or light theme smilies as those with CSS will want to use which ever contrast best with their custom colours :up:

Not really, I allready knew three from the forums, chuck norris :domo: & :beard:, a friend helped me with penguin, the other two that were left, the clues at the top helped out alot. I got flirt when flirting didn't work, than I couldn't get awwww. That one held me up. We spell it awe here & that didn't work. I got that one from Tamil.

Dacotah: "Aw" and "awe" have two different meanings in English. Looking at something cute and saying "awwwe" makes no sense. :wink:

BAMAToNE, awe :awe: doesn't work, you need to type awww awww to work. I tried :awe: & it didn't work, that is the one that caused me troubles. Look at the post, Espen says: awww!!!

awe means a feeling of wonder mixed with reverence. But it's slang for us meaning cute. :smile:

I think of the 'are' noise as open-mouthed cute and the 'awe' noise as close-mouthed cute.

I think it's the other way around Mart, awe is opened, never did the are noise though. You mean argh, like a pirate?
