Wow! Very simple and very beautiful design !

big rezpect to Christian Krebs ! Illustrator ruleZ =))

maxon 4. February 2004, 21:56

This is cool & stylish skin. And I just don't understand why it is not very popular. May be cause people don't browse too many pages to get to this masterpiece. Actually this is my favourite one. Lately i was reintstalling windous several times at home and at work but i always returned to skin pages to get oxid for my beloved opera. This skin reminds me music of De Phazz. "Editors Choice"! Five stars! Outstanding!

jiphex 15. February 2004, 20:36

It's simple, cool and subtle, just what i like for fantstic opera.

yourruinreverse 19. February 2004, 13:44

When is the 7.5 version due? Or alternatively, what should I change in the current setup to make it compatible: I've already seen that most of it still works. Only the Transfer panel and of course the Start panel seem to need updating. As soon as I have this skin for Opera 7.5, I am ready (and willing) to start migrating stuff like Wand passwords and keyboard shortcuts to 7.5!

Kassius 24. March 2004, 03:52

It has a very sleak design. The graphics are simple, but extremely elegant. Greate skin!

natxo 8. April 2004, 00:14

very cool ,excelent

Nice thing you did, Keep doing this....

Lamps 24. May 2004, 14:30

This is my long-time favourite. I change skins all the time, but when I really want to use Opera in full-screen and blow peoples sox off, this is the skin I use.

I make sure I make all the toolbars visible in full-screen mode, so that Opera with Oxid looks like some futuristic computer interface...

Having said that though, this one is also really timeless.

A classic!

dolphyo 25. June 2004, 17:59

This is absolutely the most beautiful Opera skin I've ever seen. It took some time discovering it, but the cool elegance of the entire set up is beyond compare. It's clear and non intrusive. It smooths the eye into the page one is viewing: it's almost not there, but what way of not being there!

briska61 9. July 2004, 18:14

Crisply elegant, Oxid 2.2 has a feel like the finest Finnish design. This skin usefully and subtly compliments web pages instead of competing with an excess of visual noise. (It is so nice to be free of the overwrought Mac/XP 3D look.) The scrollbars are particularly awesome. This is the skin that switched me from IE to Opera - it should be THE Editor's Pick!

lharby 11. August 2004, 11:28

Love it.

I'm new to Opera v7, but fed up with IE.

It's nice to be on board.

Great skin.

zatch 25. August 2004, 13:14

This skin is GORGEOUS!!! I was brand new to Opera when I found it and it completely sold me on switching browsers. It is beautiful to look at in an elegant, unobtrusive way. Simple icons, subtle coloring, beautiful layout with no distracting flourishes, and yet it doesn't feel sterile. Once you try it everytime you try a new skin you will feel like Opera has lost something. This deserves to be default skin for Opera. At the very least the editors top pick.

down1nit 30. August 2004, 04:29

Believe it or not, there's still people who use this skin... I'm tempted to do an update on it myself, but would like permission from the author. Beautiful skin. One of the first I downloaded and kept.

smyru 5. November 2004, 17:14

I haven't seen something so much elegant in a computer world for a while.

jax 1. December 2004, 21:10

Excellent design that has come close to be my default skin. The drawbacks are some missing or arbitrary icons and that a couple of the form controls are hard to use.

penjockey 18. December 2004, 05:24

I've sampled many skins because (1) I have a fetish for change and (2) most of the good ones are only pretty good. This one, Oxid 2.2, is excellent. Thanks for the first "wow" I've experienced in checking out Opera skins.

LakeHMM 30. December 2004, 21:50

I downloaded this skin, and any time I try to use it it freezes my Opera 7.54u1 on Mac OS X 10.1.5.

UncleLou 4. January 2005, 22:19

This is seriously the most beautiful skin I've ever seen, for any browser. Just brilliant, and thanks a lot.

mad_brahmin 3. March 2005, 22:47

Great skin! Full respect  My favorite

Clean rounded edges, clear icons, and a useable scrollbar! Keep it up Sir!

guacamolemoose 22. April 2005, 18:00

Sleek, crisp, modern.
I absolutely LOVE it.

csant 23. April 2005, 13:53

a truely original design! i really like this skin, so far from any conventionality, though clear and easy to use...

yopo 24. June 2005, 13:06

RickioW 30. September 2005, 01:23

I believe this skin has the most elegant, beautiful and contemporary designed look in the field. So lucky to be able to use it with Opera8.
Any additional buttons you would want can be had from the "community" forums with simple searching.
My only tweak was changing 2 of the default typestyles in: Preferences >Advanced > Fonts > Interface menus (Tahoma 10pt Bold) > Interface toolbars (Tahoma 10pt Bold)
Again this designer is sophisticated. Bravo!!!

ycc2106 13. October 2005, 16:12

At last someone who understands that there's no need of huge folder images for the personal toolbar, they're all the same buttons any way, it's the text that counts here!

I was looking for simple, sober, not too much "relief", black and white theme, this is the closest I think.
Very nice, exempt for the background when I use the main panel, the darker patterns on the side just underline, pixel close, the text of my personal toolbar, so it's a little bit confusing , as it's not all the way though the tb. I wouldn't mind more contrast either.
But it's the nicest I've seen. Thanks!
I'll check the forum for more buttons.

ycc2106 31. October 2005, 09:34

This is absolutly the BEST! 10stars!
I even wrote about it in my blog .

inheritedhornet 7. December 2005, 19:42

wowzas? this is the most beautiful skin ive ever seen!

tcl 8. December 2005, 20:33

probably da best skin in da world

hasina 15. December 2005, 11:58

Absolutely great skin. Outstanding. :headbang:

Eagerly waiting for updates for v.8

hasina 23. December 2005, 02:30

Edit: v.9 soon in fact Mr. Krebs. :D

milky_vii 6. January 2006, 02:29

good work! if you could make this in a pale pale pink with slightly darker pink or maybe even red accents, i would be extremely extremely impressed. i'd love to see a cutesy-fied version that was still elegant. yes.

Rythymace 15. January 2006, 04:17

Just downloaded Oxid today and Wow do I love it! So clean and neat looking, unobtrusive and elegant. Just beautiful love it and it works great with v.8.5. This is truly a unique design, different from all the others. I think I'll be with this one for a long time! ***** five stars easy!

therisingsun 6. February 2006, 08:03

The best skin of opera I have seen in my life time....
thanks a lot
this complemented with the full screen mode makes it rule!!!!
http://nontroppo.org/wiki/CustomButtons#fullscreen

UncleLou 8. February 2006, 00:21

I already commented more than a year ago - still by far the best skin. I'd love to see an update for Opera 9 though.

Bitte, lieber Christian Krebs!

Next best thing, though not remotely as beautiful, is Ximple

scxv 9. February 2006, 10:57

Just the best Opera's skin: High efficence, Pure design, Beauty.
Minimal, but not just simple.
Minimalism trough efficency, not trough defficiency.

zyph 21. March 2006, 22:02

I really like this skin.

It's easy on the eyes, doesn't take up much space and - best of all - it looks amazing!

Benda 13. April 2006, 10:03

pěkný :-)

Ahui886 18. April 2006, 10:36

mxforce 24. April 2006, 07:23

One of my favorites. Definitely!

ThePrawn 29. April 2006, 21:59

Wow, this is a really beautiful skin -- the most elegant I've seen--and without sacrificing usability--Marvelous!

sawfish 15. May 2006, 12:12

I have always liked this skin. Simple yet different.

maartenl 24. May 2006, 21:41

Wonderful skin. Outstanding. Not all icons (add bookmarkt etc.) are supported, this is a pity. Hope all icons will be supported soon. Maarten

Gwodomorr 10. July 2006, 12:41

Just what I have been looking for. Clean, simple but made with good idea.

burakbakay 12. July 2006, 12:44

just cant quit using it!

szegey 18. July 2006, 20:45

My favourite skin! Thanks a lot! :-)

nocaine 31. July 2006, 03:56

my favourite skin since 3 years ago, and it's still the best i've ever seen

TaranQ 18. August 2006, 13:48

This is indeed absolutely the most beautiful Opera skin I've ever seen.

scxv 10. September 2006, 09:10

Years and years of Opera, and yet no better skin. Great, great skin.

Shatzy 2. November 2006, 14:55

Great skin, have you considered making a windows shell style in this design?? It would be great!

niobe777 4. February 2007, 07:08

I am a FF user but Opera is my secondary browser and I keep it current. You have created the most beautiful skin that I've ever seen :-) My desktop looks like a work-of-art, I kid you not. I don't mean to be blasphemous... but if you get inspired to create a theme for Firefox, feel free.

Esi2260 25. February 2007, 21:05

Very Nice!!!!

Contrid 1. March 2007, 04:19

Awesome skin. If only we could get rid of the tab close buttons and use something else.

Hawk-McKain 9. March 2007, 04:08

Amazing skin, I love how clean it feels.

Though, one thing I really don't like is that the tab text doesn't change color when it's been refreshed, or in my case, when someone says something new in an IRC window. Other than that, Perfect!

kasa 17. March 2007, 13:27

Simple and beautiful. thx

Investor 21. March 2007, 18:52

Thanks...
Indeed simply stylish. One of my rotating top 3  Any chance of an update (all buttons in this skin) ?

goodgod 7. April 2007, 16:39

Absolutely, harmoniously, outstanding. Very very close to my dream skin. Tiny comment - can the scroll bars be a little more outlined?

emersonik 29. May 2007, 19:10

It's a nice and unique skin. The rounded shapes are remarkable.
Its design is clear, simple and beautiful. I haven't seen other similar skin (what a shame!).

solvent_d 2. July 2007, 13:31

wow.

whabo 24. August 2007, 07:29

LOl i have been using this exact same skin for a year now  tried to like others but somehow i ALWAYS came back ... and i mean always .. never changed it since i got it on my opera .. I LOOVE it .. thank you so much for your work.. its simple 2D nothing graphic about it but the combination of white light gray and black just makes it .. unique and easy on the eyes .. thx

piggybox 27. August 2007, 03:58

Very nice, especially when I switch default color to jungle. Now I don't miss any Aqua style any more.

embernut 7. September 2007, 07:35

Clean and simple, just the way I love it. Many thanks to the author ;-)

tpr 16. September 2007, 18:41

Excellent skin! Minimalist but beautiful at the same time.

ned2076 17. September 2007, 04:24

Great skin, one of my favourites.

mcsimer 17. September 2007, 13:20

Hi

I had to sign up to post a comment but I love so much this skin that I HAD to write something (it's the first time I do this).
It's the best skin I ever seen, I left firefox to use opera with this skin  It's beautiful and simple, it's just perfect !

Keep up the great work !

A huge thanks from France

Tigrane 14. March 2008, 20:27

Great !
very simple and stylish, it's by far my favorite skin !

CaptainSeagull 8. April 2008, 16:10

best skin on all of opera! i have been using it for sooooo long, I wanted to get a new skin, but every time I look - I can never find anything better than this! simple, clean, minimal space, user friendly - perfect!

niobe777 9. April 2008, 23:15

I've been using oxid 2.2 since u created it! Lovely skin... Absolutely the most elegant skin I ever seen. I'm actually a FF user 99% of the time. But soemtimes, when I'm just hopping from blog to blog reading, I use Opera with oxid 2.2. By far the best combo for comfortable hours of reading.

syncalt 26. April 2008, 20:20

THANKS MUCH!

zenon17 12. June 2008, 18:56

Great skin, been using it for a long time. Thanks. One question though, is there any chance for a fix for newest oper 9.50 official? It has been working fine with the beta but the official version broke vertical scroll bar. Or is it just me?

superzorro 15. June 2008, 22:58

Nope, my vertical scroll bar broke too

vkarpov22 16. June 2008, 09:16

Thanks for the best Opera skin! But it works unstable on Opera 9.5. Not only scrollbar is broke but the close-buttons in tabs-bars are dissapeared.
i'll be very thankful if this skin will be correctly optimized for Opera9.5
PS sorry for my english))

freki 19. June 2008, 08:55

the one and only for me!
i'd really like to see a fix for 9.5.

cheers!

Arty|miee 21. June 2008, 05:52

There're many good skins, but none of them has such perfect radios! And you've got dropdowns right too.

Arty|miee 21. June 2008, 06:08

tolk 6. July 2008, 21:36

I love this skin! Hopefully you will have time soon to make it 9.5 compatible. That would be soooo great!
Sorry, Arty|miee, your correction does not work for me...

niobe777 6. September 2008, 19:38

Back again to say that OXID is still my favorite Opera skin, bar none.

If only a Firefox theme could be created that is a beautiful ;-)

Opera 9.52 Windows XP XP2

nachtaktiv 27. September 2008, 10:42

Oxid is almost five years old now, I've been using it ever since I use Opera. Browsing Opera Skins today I still can´t find any other that comes even close in clarity, simplicity and elegance. I hereby announce Oxid a true design classic.

nocaine 26. October 2008, 00:43

I've been using this skin for 5 years now.
It's a classic, never beaten

ScrappyRocky 31. October 2008, 11:13

Great skin !
Many Thanks.

u2kuba 1. November 2008, 17:50

You are great designer - amazing skin. Thank you so much!!

kyzumi 19. December 2008, 07:01

I have been using this skin for years and still is my favorite. It is perfect!

N1ghtfly 19. December 2008, 12:24

The only skin I need. Been using it for 3 years. :coffee:

nocaine 16. March 2009, 12:32

6 years using this skin.. The best ever

superzorro 15. August 2009, 22:19

This is the best skin ever. Unfortunately, with every new release of Opera some things wont work.
In the current beta (10 beta 3), besides the vertical scroll, the "new page" and "close tabs" buttons are broken it falls back to the Opera standard skin. What a shame, hope the author releases an update for this great skin!!

niobe777 4. September 2009, 16:20

Back again (I've posted here a few times :-) Oxid is still my fave. But I'll 2nd the statements made by superzorro. I upgraded to 10.0 Final today and Oxid needs to be upgraded.

Also, just fyi... search keyword krebs or oxid from http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/ does not find oxid.

I had to Google krebs oxid and found oxid at the current url,
http://my.cn.opera.com/community/customize/skins/info/?id=373

KarlMarx 27. October 2009, 01:42

Since years this is my favorite skin - will it ever be fitted to Opera 10? In the new version it doesn't look that nice it did before.

Best regards, Marx
