Dapper Retouched

This skin is a blend of the Tango and Dapper themes, along with Ubuntu's Human icons. It's meant to mix together with Ubuntu's Human Firefox theme (Run sudo apt-get install firefox-themes-ubuntu to use it).

This theme is far from complete: if you have any comments or suggestions, let me know!

* 08/19/06 - 1.1 - Some miscellaneous fixes, smaller icons.
* 08/12/06 - 1.0 - Inital release.

The idea is good (but the opposite of good is ...).
Under no circumstance should you resample icons, it gives really poor results.
To that end icon artists go to great lengths to have every icon prepared in every size (including 16x16, which you seem to prefer).

I was concerned about that, but it looks good in everyday use. When I went searching through icons, most of the 16x16 icons were symlinked, I couldn't copy those.

Hello!

I'm glad to see a Dapper skin with the Tangerine icons.

Thanks for making the skin. However, I do not like the icons

. They are too small.

For almost perfect Tango icons in an Opera skin, take a look at: Tango CL by Tobias Wolf.

You just need to replace some of those icons with the Tangerine ones (from Ubuntu Dapper).

I don't like how certain icons that replace others are different sizes. For example the "Undelete" one in mail is a different size from the "Delete" one, so whenever I click a messages (having no messages previously selected), the toolbar size changes, which is really annoying. It also happens with "Check/Send" vs "Stop".

I'm very, very picky about skins. This is the only other skin besides the default that I like so far. This one is definitely worthy.

However,

The home button is too small compared to the other buttons.
The view button is too dim.
The back and forward buttons that have the menus with them are too wide.

The Tango Retro skin versions of the above buttons seem to be better.

I'm still using this Skin though.
