this one is even smaller then the "native" version, space effinciency can't get much higher, just love it

nottstu_1 18. May 2004, 13:09

this is almost totally perfect and is going to be my skin until you change one thing, when it will become completely perfect...

progress on the progress bar on the transferrs screen is really hard to see. theres just not enough colour or luminance difference between the bar and the background.

can either of us do anything about it?

oh and i suppose you could make the page tabs a tad smaller still....

excellent though.
thanks.

non-troppo 19. May 2004, 08:07

That bugs me too! I will change it when I get time...

(note: can we not have a way to leave comments WITHOUT rating the skin - every time I reply I either put a 3 stars thus diluting the value, or just put what the previous comments have - but then look like I'm rating my own skin...)

nottstu_1 1. June 2004, 21:48

good point about the stars but don't be bashful, as long as you're posting a relevant and helpful reply i doubt anyone could complain.
anyway, i'm back to say i serendipitously found a 'workaround' for the progress bar thing. (see my previouis rating on this skin)
i realised it's only hard to see as long as the highlight bar is over it, so as soon as the download starts i give one tap on the 'down' arrow and hey presto......
obviously not exactly what we want but it does for now chaps and chapesses.
now my next comment for the opeeratics is can't we have this like a forum posting where i get an automatic notification if someone posts a new note to say theres an improved version of my favourite skin?????
cheers.

kmm 12. June 2004, 08:50

this is the best opera skin!

SniperX 7. July 2004, 08:22

Personally I can't stand the Breeze skins. I find them boring and bland to the point of being pointless. However, that doesn't take away from their technical perfection.

Baldy__Aussie 10. August 2004, 17:47

A truly efficient skin! - Almost all the screen real estate, which I paid for, devoted to the PAGES which I want to see. And they're what I pay my ISP fees for! - So, all up, I am getting the best "Bang-for-my-Bucks". :sherlock: :wait:
A tad bright for my personal taste, I prefer it a touch darker, but I can "fiddle" that out and get my favourite #A8A8A8 to #D0D0D0 range of colours with a few simple edits. :chef:
And now all I am eagerly awaiting is "Breeze Simplified NATIVE MICRO V3.6" :sherlock: :wait:

Snapp 17. September 2004, 19:50

Is it me or does this make Opera seem FASTER? Excellent skin. I have been using Breeze for 6 months with Firefox and happy to see it as a skin for Opera. If you like simple elegant designs, you will likely like Breeze.

Koan 22. September 2004, 12:17

It would be very nice if you could move the 'AD Field'(where the ads are located) NEXT TO the 'Minimise, Restore, Close' Buttons INSTEAD OF BELOW them.

That would give even more web page space.

Thank you for a very fine skin. Double Thanks if you incorporate this change!

Jetro 17. October 2004, 22:23

I was wondering if you could make a skin just like this, but with Square tabs and adress field and so on. Because it looks odd when the "almost"-squares are so on line with the real squares. (Excuse my TERRIBLE English) and the Close and Minimise buttons look like they're missing some space. Bleh.

But anyways, one of the best skins indeed.

ToVeR 6. December 2004, 16:55

Used it, considered it a good, space efficient skin for use on a small resolution laptop screen. However, some buttons are shown in a terrible way, e.g. added panels that are web pages had extremely small, nearly non-existing buttons, making me feel uncomfortable. So, switched back to Breeze II V4.0.

jeroo 11. January 2005, 21:38

I'm totally spolit for choice with your browser skins Non-Troppo. They're truely the best - genius.

TBear 13. March 2005, 07:55

Any chance you can give us a color choice?

I prefer the "brown" of Simplified Native 3.1 to the blue of Micro 3.8. I would love the option to change colors.

KozAKi 18. April 2005, 20:35

This skin's simply one best choice if one wat to get the *widest* available workspace.

And more of that, it still has an enjoyable and non-intrusive look.

I've been using it since Opera 7.5x a year ago, without wanting to change.

Thank you Non-Troppo for that peace of good work

garfodie 10. May 2005, 04:42

Thanks for creating such a nice, compact skin! It really maximizes the space that is otherwise cluttered up by pointless buttons. Keep up the great work!

keymaker 16. May 2005, 16:24

I really love this skin! Cheers.

jeroo 25. May 2005, 00:29

Jeroo loves you

MagusG 28. June 2005, 08:20

This skin is the icing on the cake that is the best browser in the world! Combine breeze simplified micro skinned Opera with admuncher(www.admuncher.com) and you have the ULTIMATE browsing experience. GREAT work nontroppo!

Maxx_Da_Fly 23. July 2005, 22:41

That skins is rock!
Thanks to Non-Troppo from me and from my blank sceen!
From st. Petersburg, Russia, with love!

jco 28. September 2005, 11:01

Tabs that holds the chat client don't change colors when there is a new comment while another tab is selected. In the default skin, the tab turns blue (or is it red?) when there is new activity in the chat tab.

My wish is that it be fixed.

muwarrior53202 18. October 2005, 16:28

This is an excellent skin. Now if only Opera would let me move the page and address bar next to the standard File Edit View.....Help bar.

Zonko 19. October 2005, 08:52

This skin rocks my socks. :D Best skin I've ever used. Perfect, and compact, goes well for people that like simplicity, and high resolutions.

elite_girl 22. October 2005, 09:55

MagusG 24. October 2005, 00:58

Skin perfection!

DreemerNJ 1. November 2005, 17:20

I absolutely love this skin. Whenever I get on a computer I install opera if it doesn't have it. Once it has Opera I grab this skin. I introduce a lot of people to Opera with this skin on every time and haven't really found anyone interested in changing it.

olekasper 10. November 2005, 11:52

After having used this skin for the last year or so, it's totally impossible for me to even try a different skin; all that wasted space!

This skin is king.

Glimjaur 25. November 2005, 22:49

Great skin, i use at all of the different computers that i run Opera on, wich is atleast 10+. Simple and stylish, wich leaves alot of room over to the web, wich is what is important.
-Glimjaur

lifanus 12. December 2005, 02:37

This is simply the best Opera skin, I've started using it since the skin come out. Very space saving and very efficient layout design. Highly recommended.

outcrop 25. December 2005, 09:03

clean&nice, thx!

karga 18. January 2006, 19:06

A+ .. best skin for opera.. thanks !

Paz1 3. February 2006, 18:57

I agree with muwarrior53202, but other than that Opera can not get any better if you use this skin!
Thanks a lot non-troppo.

Sackers 9. February 2006, 05:11

Still a Primo Skin, works with .... Opera 9.00 Build 8212 ....

Been using Breeze Micro for a long long time...

Thx Non-Troppo...

bloodclot 21. March 2006, 02:18

this is the best skin i have ever used, i tried all the breeze's and this one is my favorite. Very small, minamalistic, but packs great power, love the buttons! Thanks!

LukeS 17. April 2006, 09:22

This was, is, and will be, the best skin ever ^_^

Yaxinz 18. April 2006, 13:34

It's the smallest skin I have seen.

garywalsh 24. April 2006, 05:56

Perfect skin for the best browser - great work

YinYanger 23. May 2006, 18:18

Hi,

I really like your skin!
What I missed from the I-Silver skin ( http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/info/?id=3913 ) is a visual indication (in the author/user mode button)that there are additional author style sheets in the site.
As an example, go to http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/operaStuff/

Best regards,
YinYanger

Zotlan 29. June 2006, 10:32

Opera 9 does not want to accept the 4.2 version of your skin. Even when dowloaded manually and put into the skins folder.

EDIT: Just noticed why, there's no skin.ini in the .zip file. Using the skin.ini from the previous version works but breaks several buttons.

non-troppo 29. June 2006, 13:40

sorry, skin.ini missing is now fixed and so is the alternate CSS highlighting.

Zotlan 30. June 2006, 12:19

In what way is this version an improvement though? You've removed the star icon. Bookmarks folder icons are now much bigger then before.
The new lock icon is nice but other than that i see no reason to upgrade.

non-troppo 30. June 2006, 16:18

oops, bookmark folders are an error (/me goes to fix). where do you use the star icon?

non-troppo 30. June 2006, 17:37

can you check with 4.21b?

Zotlan 30. June 2006, 18:16

"where do you use the star icon?"
Between the adress field and the searchfield.
with 4.21b i get a bookmark icon instead of the star, but it's better than the empty space there was before.
see this pic.

Bookmarks looking much better, thank you:)

non-troppo 30. June 2006, 18:59

what icon would you prefer? IMO the current bookmarks make more sense than a star icon, but maybe people like the star?

Zotlan 30. June 2006, 19:09

Personally i prefer the star, but that's just my opinion.
I suppose i've grown used to it.
I can change it anyway so a problem it is not.

w2phoenix 4. July 2006, 07:16

Awsome skin for the best browser on the planet..very good space saving skin..less clutter more content..good job done

thanks

Mike46 11. August 2006, 15:33

yep...small efficient..
a little lacking in colour that would be my only gripe I reckon.
doesn't drag opera down to a crawl like many of the other skins out there.

good work indeed friend.

Mike.

Chumas 30. October 2006, 13:36

Hi I´m e Newbie at Opera and still trying out my possibillities. Now I´ve change to Breeze Simplified MICRO V4.21c and don´t know how to get back to the "normal" view! If someone could explain me I´m happy. By the way this simply modus isn´t bad but I can´t play my flash games anymore. Thanks a lot.

Zotlan 3. November 2006, 17:34

The skin has nothing to do with your ability to play flash games. look through the forum for a solution to that problem. To go back to the old skin; go to tools->appearance->skin and select the opera standard skin. The click "OK".

Gofo 6. November 2006, 06:44

Hmm, I have been using this skin forever, and its great! I also like the fact that the scrollbar has no 1-pixel border, because I usually use a graphics tablet and its much easier to grab the scroller when it's all the way to the edge.

However, may I request that the tabs all stay at one size? (perhaps in a different version of Breeze). I have my tabs wrap to multiple lines and its much easier to look for a certain tab when they're arranged neatly. Perhaps a tab width of 140px would be ideal..

There's also very little contrast between the active tab and other tabs, perhaps that is worth changing as well..

Thanks!

Hank_Chinaski 17. December 2006, 15:45

+1, all tabs one size

Zotlan 26. December 2006, 23:21

-1 to that, more space for long titles is good as long as it is available. Saving page bar space when there is little text is even better.

Schneemann 20. May 2007, 20:15

Nice and efficient! I can see the benefit of non-monosized tabs, but need to get used to it first.

Some things I miss:
- An icon for the "Go" button? (I have an important dropdown attached to it).
- Hidden dropdowns without the down arrow
- The panel selector buttons could be bigger in vertical size - maybe with vertical labels? (implemented as images) This would fit in well with your squeeze and shrink theme!

lynl 26. June 2007, 00:15

Nice, but needs same sized tabs.

Kite Geek 20. July 2007, 15:19

I Just love this setup. It rocks. Thanks for making it.

bigloada 15. August 2007, 05:31

This is my favourite Opera skin, and probably the best one that has ever been made.

dieburnbot 12. September 2007, 21:59

The best skin been using it for a very very long time.

peacebyjesus 24. September 2007, 16:39

Thanks. Reduced my window by about half, with aprox 50 tabs open. But the tab size is too wide. I know there is an edit for that which i am searching for (thus i came here). Also as a FF user (too slow, even with 1.5 gb ram on Vista),I miss "Colorful Tabs." Progress.

WonderBread1908 19. November 2007, 06:27

Amazing skin. Everything is small, but very easily identifiable and clickable.
Keep coming back to this skin after trying any others.

John0877 12. December 2007, 21:10

soon as i got opera way back i went looking for a good skin and came upon yours and from then on this has been my skin. i am a huge fan of minimalist UIs so this is perfect, well almost. the only thing that would make this absolute perfection, since i usuallly have the light off and most times use the computer at night it would be perfect if you have plans to make a "photo-negative" of this skin. including the speeddial page background as well. i have tried a few dark skins on the site already but none are just right. i know dark skins arent for everyone but i think enough people would use it to make it worth your effort. i know it would be appreciated on my end.

blogschreiber 10. February 2008, 20:31

Toller Skin, der gefällt mir echt gut. :-) Den werd ich jetzt auch zukünftig beibehalten.

kathj 9. March 2008, 21:46

Great!! I`m very happy with Opera, and with this skin it is even better. :-D

jypaket 9. April 2008, 05:53

Non~tRoPPo indeed !

Our household been using this skin as my favorite for many years now; yet John0877 brings up an excellent light  on a crucial improvement for most of us nightowls.

The browse~by~night "photo~negative" version of this otherwise excellent skin would surely bring in a lot more users, as we two, who mist switch to your other darker skins which, awesome as they truly are, simply gnaws away precious screen pasture.

Nonetheless, we say bRaViSSiMo to your meticulous and artistic works, §ignori ! May you prosper and live long.. . . *

i love this skin, i download it everytime i get opera now, its takes up very little screen real estate and looks so clean, i get stuck using a variety of computers and operating systems but this browser and this skin keep one thing nice and consistent. great job!

philry4n 6. June 2008, 07:45

looking forward to an update that will fit perfectly in the newest build 10048

كاكا

EwarWoo 4. July 2008, 09:06

Almost completely perfect.

Sacrifices some form for the sake of functionality, so possibly not for everyone, but it's an amazingly worthwhile compromise.

I regularly give other small skins a try, tryiung to find pretty, but no matter how pretty I always come back to my absolutely enormous clean Breeze Simplified MICRO screen.

Not 1mm of space wasted. Fantastic.

CosQue 7. September 2008, 02:17

El mejor en ahorro de espacio, si tu pantalla es pequeña este es el mejor, no busques más.
Impresionante, Muchas Gracias.
