Nice skin, but Opera locked up when I tried to change colors. The first time it did so it unlocked after a min, then the next time it caused opera to stop responding and I had to ctrl/alt/del end task to close it.

I don't have this prob with any of the other skins I use, so I think there's a bug. HTH.

This is a beautifully designed and very creative skin, something quite out of the ordinary. I was really looking for something that's not just another revision of somebody else's design or another browser imitation, yet I also wanted icons that clearly identify their purpose (not like e.g. bugs). This skin accomplishes both beautifully, and has a very nice color scheme too.

I cannot repeat the color changing problems reported in the other comment.

An easy to use interface that is unique in it's primitive style. Great icons that don't distract me from my browsing.

Only drawback (and it is extremely minor): there are only three icons for Contacts, so you can only distinguish between male, female and unknown. Like I said, it's an extremely minor point and is the only thing I would change about this skin. I've been too lazy to do it myself.

This one is one of the skins I always download and maybe the one I like the most. It goes to show that a skin can be both different and practical. It is fun at first sight (it is hard not to fall for the scrollbone), has good contrast and use of screen estate, and the icons, with some minor exceptions, both follow the theme and make sense as icons.

Without a doubt one of the most creative skins I've seen, a welcome change from the usual variations on the same theme that is usually out there. As a brand new user of Opera, it was a nice introduction to find this beautiful and artistic work, my thanks and accolades to Mr. Peltier for his work.

having browsed the entire collection, most of which seem to be harking back to an earlier browser, most disappointingly, this one is the most original and interesting. perhaps it will serve to inspire more innovative designs.

this is the only one i would consider adopting and then only as an alternative to let me know which machine i am using - i have two kvm switched and it is not always easy to tell which i am on. renaming the computer helped.

in like manner, none of the other add-ins appeal over the look and feel of the original, which i find sublime.

I agree with Lionhead. I've also been using Neanderthal for years and it's still the best. I lost count of how many people have looked over my shoulder and laughed when they saw that my home button is a tent and my scrollbars are made of human bone.

I wish I could use this skin, but my version (8.52) refuses to download it. It's nearly enough to make me want to uninstall Opera and revert to version 7.x.

When you make a version for 8.x, I'm jumping on it.

I installed Opera 9.0 over 8.52 and everything works fine. Cavemen still there, and me happy!

Opera is not Opera without this skin! I miss it very much. At the beginning it worked in my case, too, as midnight_oil told above: I also installed Opera 9 over 8.52, and the skin worked. But a few days ago I had some computer troubles, and I had to format my windows partition and reinstall windows and all the programs; I installed Opera 8.52 as usual and then I tried to download this skin, which I love so much and I was using it for over a year. But I could not download it any more; I also tried to download and install an older version of Opera 7, yet I couldn*t download the skin either.I always get the message Fortsetzen nicht möglich. Bitte wählen Sie eine für Ihre Operaversion erstellte Skindatei. So now the skin isn't downloadable with any Opera version, not with 7, not with 8, not with 9. Por favor, bitte sehr, please, please, please, upgrade the skin and make it work again!

Thanks for the v9.x update!! I was using this a couple versions ago. The expanding femur scroll bars are HILARIOUS!

(You may consider adding the femur scroll bar graphic on the skin snapshot to display what it looks like, if they're window-shopping.)

How to I get Neanderthal7 to work with the newest version. Was able in the past to install this, had to reinstall o/s now I can not install skin. (http://bachius.com/opera/skineditor/index.php this link does not work)
