D.T.A. stands for 3 authors:
Dustin Wilson, who created Entr'Acte 2 icon set.
Tobias Wolf, who brought a Gnome theme, GIT CL, to Opera.
Adrian Leung, who made the boring *imple skins.
Another 2 authors who led me into skin making:
Ilya Baranovsky, whose Stardust is the biological father of *imple's.
Tobias Murano, the savant of Opera skins.

Please fix this in the next release. Looks good otherwise.

The "Dapper" skin has this mouseover effect as a reference.

Now that Opera's standard skin has no color, when using your skin, the Bookmarks menu looks really dull. Is it possible to give the folders a new icon?

To skin.ini so tabs with only icons on will look smaller

rbemrose 12. June 2008, 20:00
I've also noticed a few additional icons that seem to be taken from the (ugly, black) stock 9.5 theme.
In mail along, Filters, Active Contacts, Add Contact, and each individual contact use the ugly black icons.
Folders in History also use the ugly black folder like Bookmarks do.
The various sidebar trash cans (widgets, notes, contacts) are the ugly black one if I'm not mistaken.

Icons definitely smaller in trial2.
'soft blue' folder is more consistent than the black one.
Carry on good work

The most annoying to me is the sort of blinking of the toolbars when pushing the buttons.
Anyway, a great skin. I really hope your polishing it to release the final.

I absolutely love this skin. It's the definition of STYLISH. The gradient on top of each tab is just brilliant. I love it
I gave it a maximum 5 stars.
Thanks a lot !

It's a pitty that Opera Link doesn't synchronise the skin choice - I have to look for it every time I install Opera on some new computer...

the blue used for the slider in the scroll bar is a bit too invasive; i see it in my peripheral vision when I'm reading something in the window.
I'd suggest either a very light blue or perhaps a grey-on-light grey approach.
Otherwise, this skin (and its slim counterpart) strikes that just-right combination of giving color to the browser without drawing attention away from the webpage. And the tabs blend into the address bar absolutely perfectly.
Good job!
CsendesMark 25. January 2009, 00:13
But, can you make a version of this with rounded Speed Dial icon-borders?
THX
juanchito2006 27. January 2009, 05:35
A stamp for mail is not as easy to identify as an envelopes, for example.
The reload icon has that oval shape that doesn't blend well with the other navigation icons.
The Tango icons from Tango CL are just great. I know most of the widget styles in DTA are based on it. I guess that adding the icon set Tango CL uses (or one based on it) will blend perfectly in DTA.
I may think of DTA as an evolution of Tango CL, my favourite skin at the moment for use in Ubuntu.

I see you have updated your skin to look more nicely with Opera 10. And that's great! The only thing I want to say about it is following:
I don't like very much how does the new "drag handle" look. It's a little bit heavier (darker and more contrast) than other elements of the skin.
The greatest advantage of the D.T.A. skin is it's unique lightness and the "light weight" look! I suggest that you should make the "drag handle" nearly unnoticeable in the whole design. (I mean the lightness, of course it should be colored and marked with the 3 dots or something else, so the user can locate it).
One more time, thank you!!!
DoraM 10. September 2009, 17:10
irman2000 11. September 2009, 22:16
I would even suggest to make D.T.A. the default skin for Opera, if I could.
One more suggestion to the developers: I like the way you made the "drag handle" look after my previous post, but I suppose it can be done even better. The position of the 3 dots seems to be a little bit upper than it should be, or may be more probably - the width (vertical size) of the drag handle should be reduced a little and the 3 dots should be centered vertically on it.
The way it looks now it seems to be a little disproportioned (or asymmetric?)
I hope you understand what I wanted to explain; my English is considered by some people to be good, but of course it's not perfect
I appreciate your designing efforts greatly!!!
P.S.: by the way, I would like to tell that in Russia Opera is much more popular than in other countries! (Especially among advanced users, admins, programmers and so on). As far as I know, Opera's spreading in Russia is approximately equal to Firefox
