Great skin! +1

Greytata 17. December 2008, 17:16

Superb skin. Congrats

eetest 17. December 2008, 17:38

It is simply gorgeous!! I love the skin!!
no offend but my first time realizing that Made in China can be that superb.

kyu3 17. December 2008, 18:26

This skin is coooool♪

lilmoder 17. December 2008, 20:58

Wow! It's even better than the original/internatinal skin.

g2spot 17. December 2008, 21:12

nice one. for me it looks more like a swiss skin because the "new tab" button looks exactly like the swiss coat of arms

/g..

theShuggie 17. December 2008, 23:24

Excellent! A delight to use.

rajeshknair1 18. December 2008, 02:22

sms985 18. December 2008, 07:56

Love it!

Robert Maupin 18. December 2008, 08:33

I must say, very good, can you fix the color scheme mode (alot of black blocks form, and red does sometimes strain the eyes after awhile).

blinkybill 18. December 2008, 09:53

Hi Lars,

Excellent skin there... I feel this would be been
a better skin for Opera(Rest of the world) to use
rather than the dark standard skin they choose.
Would it be to possible to make a blue version to
fit in with Windows XP.

cheers
blinky

Zachary Keeping 18. December 2008, 10:14

This should be the default skin for all Opera versions.

Zachary Keeping 18. December 2008, 10:18

This doesn't appear to have the red border for Speed Dial images though, as shown by the picture.

Zachary Keeping 18. December 2008, 11:23

Oh, and there's no way of distinguishing whether another tab hasn't been visited yet. Other skins, like the default one, change the text color until you visit them.

(I can't seem to be able to edit my posts, sorry)

poorrichard01 18. December 2008, 12:24

Not generally a fan of ultra-dark skins, but this just looks so solid, so professional, it's hard to dislike it. In fact I'm going to try it as my default, with a Vista black tool bar and title bar.

larskl 18. December 2008, 12:33

@MisterMooth: The red border appears when you hover the speeddial item. And there's indeed no text color change when a tab has loaded.

eetest 18. December 2008, 13:43

re larski: the red border does not appear when I hover the speed dial item. It remains white. Please try to fix it.

MidnightSurfer 18. December 2008, 13:45

Excellent skin! Very original and unique! 5 stars!

larskl 18. December 2008, 14:37

it seems the official 9.63 release doesn't support the red hover effect, only the later chinese release does so, Opera 10 will probably do as well.

Cyro 18. December 2008, 16:51

I really liked the fact that Opera has gone regional.
I hope in the future, they do it with other countries. I'd love regional browserjs!

Chris 18. December 2008, 23:36

Beautiful Skin!
Thanks a lot

elitepokemaster 19. December 2008, 03:18

I love the skin. I'm using it in Opera 10a, but doesn't have the hover effect in the speed dial. Still, I love it. :D

Anh Trinh 19. December 2008, 08:51

Absolutely stunning, immediately transforms Opera into the most elegant browser that exists!

Jamin 19. December 2008, 13:59

What?! This skin is beautiful! Why don't we Americans have a skin like this?

sms985 19. December 2008, 20:40

well, it is nice, but I've noticed a glitch: it looks ugly when you have some tabs open and open the panel (mail, bookmarks etc.), the transition between tabs and the panel is ugly, the corner looks out of place.

http://files.myopera.com/tomas.sprlak/files/ibis_skin_glitch.jpg

lilmoder 19. December 2008, 21:05

Looks great with Toribash page :D
http://files.myopera.com/lilmoder/files/red.jpg

(No, it's not how my Opera looks by default)

SerK69 19. December 2008, 22:36

Super!

sms985 20. December 2008, 13:17

any simple way of adding the hover effect to speeddial like in chinese version? doesn't work on alpha 10 either...

konic 20. December 2008, 13:23

Skin is not that bad. But I prefer to have tabs at the BOTTOM, and author should fix [Pagebar Skin...] entries for this 'mode'.
As a matter of fact this is a common mistake for some authors.
I mean, considering tabs position only on the top or at the bottom.

konic 20. December 2008, 23:22

OK, I decided not to wait and fixed this 'bottom' version myself.
Here it is:
http://rapidshare.com/files/175298626/Opera_IBIS-1_bottom.zip

konic 21. December 2008, 20:50

As far as hover color border on SpeedDial is concerned, I looked through all skins I use - NONE of them have it. Although Opera claims that it should work (see here: http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/opera-skinning-part-4-skin-ini-element/).

Nicksn 21. December 2008, 21:44

Thanks for different skin for our favorite browser!:psmurf:  :psmurf: wine  :hat:

larskl 21. December 2008, 21:50

@konic: That page doesn't say .hover is supported for [Speed Dial Thumbnail Widget Skin]. Also please see my previous comment, only the chinese version supports the hover effect so far.

Icko 22. December 2008, 07:00

Cool skin.

Дмитрий 22. December 2008, 16:40

Прикольненький скин, вот только б красноту по прозрачнее..:smile:

konic 22. December 2008, 22:11

larskl, Opera 10 still does not support hover change for frames in Speed Dial :frown:

konic 23. December 2008, 16:27

OK, for those of you who want to try 'Chines' version which does this
'hover' thing on Speed Dial try this:
http://rapidshare.com/files/176123295/Opera_IBIS_exe.zip
It works for me so far

Yves 23. December 2008, 16:36

Nice skin, good job!

MeanEYE 24. December 2008, 13:57

Yeah, great... I really like the gradients and motives ... good job!

airiRin 25. December 2008, 03:30

This is better than Opera default skin..
This must be the default skin for Opera..

tommimoilanen.com 25. December 2008, 22:02

This skin looked really polished, stylish and very Opera. Then I realized it seems to be the official skin for Opera in China. Only thing that bothers me a bit is that those (X)s in speed dial are not aligned to the edges of those Speed Dial boxes.

Websearch7 27. December 2008, 00:24

Running Opera 9.63 and Ubuntu 8.04;
Using the the (left) panel switch crashes Opera (Opera closes).
Didn't see this happen on any other skin.
Works fine under Windows Vista.
Anyway, a “different” and good-looking skin!

Staretz 27. December 2008, 15:33

A lot of people like this skin. So do I!
Worth developing further :sherlock:

Jetro 6. January 2009, 23:05

Welcome back, Lars!
A very nice skin.

matrixming 13. January 2009, 07:10

想不到没有中文呀

stcwalker3 14. January 2009, 04:31

LOVE THE THEME!!! I made a username on here just to comment on how good it is the dark red makes it have a sleek look. This should be the default theme, I think it would make the first time downloaders eyes light up with amazement. I think that more people will keep using it just because it looks good!

baal1860 18. January 2009, 07:05

so cool !

Saludos

Piotr 25. January 2009, 20:48

The skin is great, but I see one large drawback: normally tabs that you have opened in background and finished loading, but you haven't seen them, have different title color. This way, when you open many slow loading things in background, you know whether they are ready. In this skin all tabs look exactly the same.

Piotr 25. January 2009, 20:51

Plus: when you have a push button on toolbar (like NoFlash), you cannot see whether the button is pushed down or released.

~louw 2. February 2009, 07:16

Hi

Probably one of my favourite skins yet. However, it also crashes my Opera on Ubuntu 8.10 :frown:

John 10. February 2009, 16:54

Awesome skin. Thx for sharing.

z101201301 11. February 2009, 12:51

嘿嘿~~不错哦。。

NlCe 12. February 2009, 01:03

Nice one

Gary Walsh 17. February 2009, 21:12

Very nice thank you :D

OAddict 18. February 2009, 14:29

a nice skin but the address bar is too big.
there's no perceptible difference between a loaded-but-not-visited tab and an already visited one.

rated 4/5

OAddict 18. February 2009, 14:34

i tried to edit my comment but it said i have no permission to complete the task. anyway, one more thing:

it would be really great if we had a red background for the speed-dial page with the same effect that is used for the active tab.

Z* 24. February 2009, 06:22

does reload animation icon works?...

i notice there is one...but in opera 10 wont work...special effects enable.

Mike 6. March 2009, 14:41

excellent skin...red speed dial hover works fine in opera 9.64

Mike 6. March 2009, 15:21

anyone know where to edit the black line indicated in the screenshot please ?

[img]http://img06.picoodle.com/img/img06/3/3/6/mike1959/f_snag01m_ec9ea9d.png

hylik 8. March 2009, 22:58

When cycling tabs with Ctrl+Tab the selection don't work (you can't determinate what tab you've selected)... can anyone confirm?

Eddy 7. April 2009, 18:32

Me gusta mucho esta apariencia es una de mis preferidas y es la que más uso. :D  p:

NR 12. April 2009, 03:19

esta muy bueno

Grrblt 15. April 2009, 16:36

Found a bug:
Holding right mouse button and scrolling the mousewheel brings up a list of tabs and lets you quickly select which one you want.

This is how it should look:
http://i43.tinypic.com/swg2l4.jpg

This is how Ibis skin looks:
http://i43.tinypic.com/zyed6p.jpg

There is no way of telling which tab will be selected when you release the right mouse button.

bigoncio 22. April 2009, 16:12

@hylik & @Grrblt
I've solved with the skin file from Opera 9.64 chinese version

here the file

Z* 30. May 2009, 17:24

Andrew Sam 1. July 2009, 15:29

Hey Lars... great skin man ... what about updating for 10.0? Is there something cooking for an update?

Alexei 3. July 2009, 22:33

Great skin, although not too space-efficient...

Ocky 20. July 2009, 08:18

Strange, with Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS the java tester site crashes Opera 9.64
and Compiz - reverts to metacity. Other java applets work fine.
I don't have this problem with Ubuntu 9.04 also running Compiz but not
Emerald window decorator, which I have running for 8.04.3 LTS.
Also changing to other skins eg. Mironix, the problem is gone.

See my post... http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=283762

Java Test site:- http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

Can anyone using Ubuntu 8.0.4.3 LTS and Opera 9.64 with ibis skin confirm?
(Java version is latest 1.6.0_14

Nicolas 21. July 2009, 10:23

This skin is not compatible with v10, many button are absent.

Koldice 29. July 2009, 14:22

This should be Opera standard skin!

konstruktor22 2. August 2009, 09:51

I like this skin.
But there isn't a Network tab in Edit Site Preferences

why19901234 7. August 2009, 14:38

很强大呀!!!

Daniel Chang 16. August 2009, 10:18

very nice Chinese-looking skin, yet I think it is high time for an up-date, agree? Some more overt physical features of 朱雀 would make it more beautiful. Have you thought of making a skin based on 青龍 or 玄武elements?

Daniel James Hendrycks 2. September 2009, 03:00

Upgrade this skin please

AnthonyA1 4. September 2009, 16:42

This looks great in Opera 10. Looks nothing like the screen shot displayed here.

mathouse 7. September 2009, 17:21

yychallenger 15. September 2009, 03:56
