Brief mission statement:
This goal with this skin is to create something that is clean, light and usable for the web professional. It will not steal focus from the important things in your browser (i.e. the Web), nor will it waste screen real estate.

The name is the shorthand version of the hex code for red, and this skin is close (but not exact) of the Opera brand colors white and red.

I am grateful for all the downloads of the skin, and appreciate the comments and messages I have received about it. I cannot go with every suggestion, but I do read them all.

There are no restrictions on derivative works, but keep in mind that it was made out of love for the Opera browser, so if you clone it for competitors I might come after you with a stick o' hurt.

It is made for Opera 10. It is made on a Mac.

Version history and all versions are available at http://www.helmersworks.com#c00

This one is great!

BTW small glitch: widgets panel icon is 16x16 blue icon, no the default one.

Ricardo 9. January 2009, 14:13

Great skin !!!!! Thank you very much ....
I love this, is very beautiful and original !!!!
Congratulations

99vadim 10. January 2009, 16:16

Keep up the great work!

set 10. January 2009, 21:46

Great skin, my new default one.

Few requests...

- Style the reload/stop, home... buttons. Default ones are just too... fugly.
- Bring back the default smileys. :zip:

I see that this is just a v0.5 though. Looking forward to the updates. :D

kyu3 13. January 2009, 04:51

This skin is Cooool!!

soft.flame 13. January 2009, 10:03

Simplistic in nature and wonderful!
I like it! flirt

desmasic 13. January 2009, 17:59

Had to login just to say that this skin is bloody brilliant. This should be default Opera skin (not the ugly blocky space hungry theme used in 9.5 atm).

desmasic 13. January 2009, 18:02

Oh and I don't think there is any need to create new icons. Default work just fine but you can always make different color themes (esp. a proper black/grey mix). Still, the default No Color Scheme works fine for me.

(I can't edit last post? It said Authorisation Required? Wth!)

soft.flame 15. January 2009, 17:10

I honestly hope Opera could include this as one of their default skins.
Oh, and you're the reason why I logged in. My first time commenting too. Keep up the great work.

David Håsäther 16. January 2009, 16:38

Helmers! This one's great.

Gneist 17. January 2009, 12:06

This definitely is my favorite skin atm. Thx alot!!

hoqx 21. January 2009, 04:58

it's great!
i love this style!

Madis 21. January 2009, 13:21

It's very usable and nice!
The only thing that could be changed would be the background for the Panels icon on the tabs bar, so that it would blend with the addressbar like active tabs do.

Benjamin Joffe 21. January 2009, 15:41

Nice skin Helmers!

My gripes:
- Unfocused tabs should have black text instead of grey (harder to read, highlight of focused tab is enough to draw attention).
- Gradient at the top from med-grey to dark grey accelerates too fast at the top (my mind shows a sharp line where it changes).
- Tabs in preference dialogues need more horizontal padding.

Personally #c00 is not for me, almost stopped using it until I remembered I can change the colour in the 'appearance' preference, you should remind people about this in the blurb!

Benjamin Joffe 21. January 2009, 15:56

Oh, and tabs on right are totally unstyled, probably due to 0.5 I guess..

kyu3 22. January 2009, 18:37

I made screenshots of this skin.

Joel 23. January 2009, 06:11

awesome skin! very cool

w6kath 24. January 2009, 06:27

just tried it as was top of the list and have to say.. well done, I like it very much and keep it at least for a while. again good work!

Ricardo 2. February 2009, 01:32

I have a problem with this skin. When you change the position of the toolbar with bar tabs using the main bar, an error occurs in the color of the new toolbar I created. it is dark and it is impossible to view the navigation buttons.

http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=capturarru6.jpg

Jan Henrik Helmers 2. February 2009, 11:13

@The404notfound:
I see the problem there. I am use the buttons can be improved, but when updating it I will focus on the default layout, as there are so many custom combinations possible that supporting them all is tricky.

Ricardo 3. February 2009, 01:48

Helmers
I understand your situation ... but I think the problem is not the buttons but the background of the main bar. The background of the address bar is white and the main bar is dark is it?

Of all continue to feel their way to better skin for Opera made so far .. Thanks!

Jan Henrik Helmers 13. February 2009, 13:50

@The404notfound:
I see your usecase and made the main/personalbar white. Lets hope others like it as well (it looks pretty good on my mac).

:coffee:

poorrichard01 13. February 2009, 20:00

This skin was already one of my two favorites (I also like Ibis....I guess I tend to like the skins done by the OPERA team). But this new update is simply superb.

toadbee 13. February 2009, 20:41

Hmmmmm- The text on my "personal bar" is pretty much illegible.

konic 13. February 2009, 23:07

That is because author does not use it!
Moreover, 'tabs at the bottom' mode is not implemented as well :frown:

konic 13. February 2009, 23:08

Otherwise, very clean skin and I like it!

Ricardo 14. February 2009, 02:51

Helmers
Thank you for the update!
Now for me the skin was great, again thank you

Jan Henrik Helmers 14. February 2009, 11:36

@konic:
You got me there, I start out with what I personally use, and then build from there. Having tabs in other places than the top is not supported - yet. I want to support it eventually, but it is not at the top of my list. Your vote for it is duly noted.

konic 14. February 2009, 12:28

OK, then.
As for the personal bar text, in the version 0.6 it looked like 'bossed'
now it is just plain.
I don't know is it possible for a text to have shadow?

toadbee 14. February 2009, 14:59

Thanks for the quick update on the personal bar. One beauty of a skin.

fongwen2k 15. February 2009, 10:45

keep up the good work and update, thank you

set 17. February 2009, 13:20

Great update, keep up the good work.

Gary Walsh 17. February 2009, 21:14

Very nice. Nice and clean. I like the spacing between tabs especially.

imarooned 1. March 2009, 15:48

That's one on the best skins ever!

Although there is one thing to fix.
Panel toggle at the edge of window has a shadow which causes it's color doesn't match the whole. It's ok while you hoover mouse over the toggle (it brightens up and gets true color ).

Anyway,thanks for this brilliant work!

Dane 1. March 2009, 21:20

This is a beautiful skin.

blankzebra 4. March 2009, 06:09

Great skin but...:

1. please replace the navigation icons (the default ones are a good point to start and hope that the Wand icon will still change it's face when a saved form website comes up as the default one do);

2. there is no rollover box for the Panel icon (I think one like the Add tab icon is using, will fit, right?

Just these for now, I had installed it just 2 minutes ago :D
More to follooooow...

Thanks Jan, great job

blankzebra 4. March 2009, 06:17

Great skin but...:

2. there is no rollover box for the Panel icon (I think one like the Add tab icon is using, will fit, right?

mtlrlz 4. March 2009, 11:23

excelent skin. my new default. thanx Jan

Jan Henrik Helmers 5. March 2009, 08:48

@blankzebra:
Thanks for the comments I will keep that in mind for the next refresh.

Rafal 5. March 2009, 19:12

> Added annoying animation.

Verrrry true.

Is it possible to make it blink few times and then stay at highlighted state?

Great work BTW.

set 5. March 2009, 21:51

> Added annoying animation.

Why adding it if it's annoying in the first place ?

imho, the first solution was much better and you could see with just one glimpse of an eye which tabs content is refreshed.

Jan Henrik Helmers 6. March 2009, 09:05

@annoying animation comments:
Unless I can make it less annoying it will be removed. There is also the problem that it does not respect skin coloring. But animated PNGs will be included somewhere, I like the technology.

nguyenhoang83 11. March 2009, 06:46

It's defintely awesome one. Thanks a lot.

Drew Flater 12. March 2009, 19:14

is it possible to get at old versions of this skin? my favorite was c00-0_5

Jan Henrik Helmers 13. March 2009, 11:10

@drewflater:
You got mail.

@scottkmaxwell:
I will keep that in mind. There is a different brightness level though, but point taken about color.

Dmitriy 13. March 2009, 16:05

Amusing SKIN!!!! Thanks:)

blankzebra 18. March 2009, 11:18

yep, better remove that annoying animation...
when a new version?

blankzebra 18. March 2009, 12:52

Oh, and Mailing Lists from the mail section, it's still in color, I think it slipped away

blankzebra 18. March 2009, 12:52

I was talking about the Icon (damn I still cannot edit my posts!)

Kelly 18. March 2009, 20:08

I've used Metal Blue 3.1 by Kreg for years but v9 wont display that as a choice now that it's so old. Until Metal Blue gets updated I'll use this skin. Thanks.

Cesar 19. March 2009, 00:47

this is really cool! thanks

Jan Henrik Helmers 21. March 2009, 11:37

@blankzebra:
Thanks for all the feedback, the current plan for release is "when it is ready". Perhaps next weekend.

adler1903 22. March 2009, 20:05

Good job, thanks.....

(v) 27. March 2009, 16:53

sweet&sexy, right what i need!

Mark Gillespie 31. March 2009, 12:36

REALLY nice skin. This is now my default. It's very slick.

1 minor bug, if you use it with the Opera Turbo Labs build, and toggle turbo on/off, the toolbar changes it's vertical size...

Excellent work ******

nguyenhoang83 9. April 2009, 04:36

Great skin!
I do love the red and the style of tab bar. However, the tab bar is a bit narrow. Close buttons aren't bottom-aligned to tab names and icons are scaled down.
I gonna be cooler if you increase the height of its a bit.

Thanks for the great skin! It's my default now :-)

blankzebra 15. April 2009, 06:23

:wait:

Jan Henrik Helmers 25. April 2009, 13:36

I have an update for the skin, but it seems that by losing my privileges as an Opera employee something bugged withe skin editing. I will post it as soon as this issue is resolved with the my.opera team.

tupperduck 25. April 2009, 14:37

Oddly enough, I kind of like the "annoying animation".

I really enjoy this skin; it has become my new default. Thank you for posting.

Henk Kommers 4. May 2009, 20:07

very nice:up:

Владимир Побережный 6. May 2009, 12:06

Nice skin! Don't stop work and your skin will be the best!

Daniel 7. May 2009, 23:55

Surprisingly pleasant!

Thanks!

grafio 21. May 2009, 08:55

Brilliant skis Helmers!

Ben Capili 29. May 2009, 00:06

Hong Peter 30. May 2009, 14:45

단연코 최고의 스킨!

Leif Arne Storset 1. June 2009, 17:56

Beautiful skin, too bad about the annoying animation. When you remove it I'll use it again. If I were less busy *cough* lazy *cough* I would remove it myself.

Jan Henrik Helmers 6. June 2009, 22:51

Still unable to update this skin - a new version is available here: helmersworks.com/c00_8.zip

The annoying animation is removed (a less annoying one added), and some suggestions are taken in. Also basic support for the new thumbnail tabs in Opera 10.

stainless 9. June 2009, 10:13

Im sorry, but the new animation is more annoying :yikes: . Can I disable it? Maybe by editing skin.ini? thx

flm 11. June 2009, 22:51

Any news on this skin?

Oops. I just missed that comment. Tried to delete or edit my previos comment, but got an error. Something wrong with this site... :\

BTW, nice skin!

Don't think there is an easy "workaround" but I will keep your comment in mind for the next update. I like the animation as-is though, except that it doesn't work with skin colorization.

sputnik-37 14. June 2009, 20:31

Best of all

Jan Henrik Helmers 15. June 2009, 20:27

Since the skin is currently not working 100% with "Fallback background = 1", and this is a requirement for uploading an update here, I have made a webpage for the skin, where I will keep track of its development: http://www.helmersworks.com/c00/

Once the bugs are sorted out I will post an update here.

eternalnewbie 17. June 2009, 09:03

I'm very impressed by this skin, and I don't normally like this style of skin. For me what would make it perfect would be an option of coloured icons.

The animations can be annoying, but IMHO that is mostly because some web pages seem to auto-refresh without actually changing anything.

Maybe you could offer an optional version where the refreshed tab just changes colour.

Elliott 18. June 2009, 20:15

Congratulations! Your skin is the most popular!

Александр 19. June 2009, 01:49

Great skin! My default now  Only features I missing are to highlight current and updated tabs.

Dragnarok 19. June 2009, 18:29

great skin, exactly what i was looking for

jonnyquesty2k 20. June 2009, 05:06

Beautiful skin; best for anyone that has LCD computers. Would love to see it shifted to the stable versions of 10 too.

Héctor O. Garcia 21. June 2009, 00:49

Great plasticity. Sober and striking at a time. And the animation's tab: optimum. Felicitaciones.

kian phillips 24. June 2009, 22:45

The design and graphics are very clean and I was tempted to use it but the animated tab is unnecessary and visually distracting.

Jan Henrik Helmers 28. June 2009, 17:40

Removed the animations (for now), and added quite a few changes. There might be too little red in the skin now, but its not done yet. There is still not much support for other than standard configurations, and I haven't tested it on anything but a mac. Feel free to suggest changes to the scrollbars. :D

Chris P. 28. June 2009, 19:59

Great skin! I love that scrollbar btw.

You could add slightly more red by turning the "Close Tab"-button into red while hovering the mouse over it. This should also work as some sort of "warning" if someone attempts to close a tab that way.

vpx 28. June 2009, 22:53

Nice! I love it!

I have 2 suggestions though:
- Remove the white border on websites
- Add some color (make the reload button green, make the stop button red, etc)

Mordenkainen 30. June 2009, 19:45

I'm still using 0.8 because I actually liked the red header in the panels and the less craped feeling in the toolbar. The new O10 menu icon also looks better with 0.8 and the it still had the previous screwdriver/wrench icon for the panels. Thanks for providing the older versions on your website.

Mordenkainen 30. June 2009, 19:47

"craped" = "cramped", can't seem to be able to edit my comment.

Jan Henrik Helmers 1. July 2009, 22:01

I will keep these comments in mind, some of those things mentioned will be taken care of in a future version. A bit skeptical about colorizing icons, but I'll experiment.

Matheus 7. July 2009, 14:24

The skin is great, but the new scrollbar looks odd. Like its interfering in the page content.

Leonardo Alassia 7. July 2009, 15:45

very nice skin! I love the scrollbars, but I prefer the old trash icon for closed windows, and I think the icons from the panel are very height

mtlrlz 8. July 2009, 08:52

personal bar's height should be reduced a little... at least to be as tall as the new default skin for Build 1622

John Hatzopoulos 9. July 2009, 15:56

Sending you more praise for a great skin. It looks and feels so much more complete compared to other skins.
Great job!

Artyom 9. July 2009, 18:25

great skin! thanks!
as for me, adress bar's height should be reduced a little, to reduse spaces above and below adress field. and change the autofill icon

soft.flame 10. July 2009, 18:33

Thanks for updating the skin, making it usable with Opera 10 beta! *grateful*

Alexei 10. July 2009, 19:27

Awesome skin!

Sasho 13. July 2009, 08:46

Awesome skin and i use now.

I have a little suggestion;
remove the white shadow(or what effect it is) from the letters in personal bar, i think this part will look very clean.

Great job!!

Please post what are you think for my suggestion.

Emil Tsvetanov 16. July 2009, 12:08

Great skin! My favorite one.
It's clean and I like the colors the way they are, IMHO there's absolutely no need to colorize even a single button.

P.S. I can't get used to the scrollbar though. It still looks...urm... kinda weird to me...

Yura 16. July 2009, 13:34

Quality skin. One of mine favorite.Thank you!!!

Tom Sengers 17. July 2009, 07:41

The best skin ever. In version 10 I discovered that in site preferences (F12) the tab for Network disappeared. For Opera functionality this choice is a vital one!

Jan Henrik Helmers 17. July 2009, 21:47

Thanks for all the downloads, comments and praise. The skin is downloaded over half a million times, and I am glad there are so many who enjoy it. Right now work is preventing work on the skin, but it is just a matter of time.
:coffee:

@Scrollbar
I have had some recommendations, but am a bit unsure of the direction to take it. If possible I want to avoid using rounded corners.

@Personal bar
I do not see any white shadow there, but I see it on tabs and in the panel. I will try to make it smaller.

@Site preferences
If the last (Network) tab is missing then that sounds very bad indeed. I am unable to reproduce it, let me know what version/OS you are running so I can dig in some more.

On the v10, the "menu" button are absent.

cinemystic 22. July 2009, 01:12

Uninstalled v10. Prefer v7 greatly. You should make all versions available for those who prefer the earlier.

ditya 23. July 2009, 14:10

Really good mac themed skin :D , I have this issue though (using Opera 10) :
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
e.g menu bar displayed on center
could you fix it please...? Thank You

Ice Ardor 26. July 2009, 07:09

perfect skin for the max people out there...

jonnyquesty2k 28. July 2009, 02:24

Disappointed. Version 7 colours were the best.

cinemystic 31. July 2009, 02:28

Exactly! Bring back Version 7! At least as an alternative download.

Jan Henrik Helmers 31. July 2009, 13:45

Have no fear,
version 0.7 is also there:

A direct link to save you clicks:

cinemystic 31. July 2009, 20:26

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

GCG1000 3. August 2009, 12:41

Brilliant! Renders perfectly on my Mac. Thanks!:hat:

Jan Henrik Helmers 5. August 2009, 13:29

Posted an update. One issue I am very aware of:
This skin is made on a Mac, meaning that I never see the Menu bar, or the Menu button. The bugs related to those things will be looked at when I get Boot Camp/Windows set up.

Alexei 5. August 2009, 16:25

Yes, the issues are present with the latest version on Windows, but since the skin is pure awesomeness, I am willing to overlook them :D

Alexander F 5. August 2009, 17:00

Fantastic work, favourite skin of many people and inspiration for many skin makers. I have two small bug reports.

In the Appearance and Preferences menus:
http://files.myopera.com/Sasko88/files/bug.png

Also, in the mail panel the "Labels" and the "Important Labels" have the same icon, this can be fixed by modifying the following line:
Mail Labels = icons/label_important.png

Also the hover effect on panel items is hardly distinguishable from the normal button state.

Sarah 5. August 2009, 17:32

Scott Vivian 5. August 2009, 18:15

The close tab button needs to be centrally-aligned. On Ubuntu it is too low down. See http://files.myopera.com/svivian/files/opera-c00-skin.jpg

GCG1000 5. August 2009, 19:51

Hi-
For the record, C00 is an excellent skin for OP. 10. However, I prefer the toolbar buttons in v. 0.10 in C00, rather than the button icons selected for v. 0.12.

Artyom 6. August 2009, 18:52

in v.12 the button "Panels" looks heterogenous, in v.10 that was better
[img]http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/9946/44200327.jpg

Stahn Aileron 8. August 2009, 22:01

I also don't like the new 0.12 version. I don't use the menu, I use buttons and now they all appear with a "|" within each button.

Could you get me a screenshot or details of how test those buttons? Are you using snapshots of Opera 10?

Jan Henrik Helmers 10. August 2009, 15:55

Minor version update (0.13):
- Address bar buttons (reverted) & added to the rest of the interface.
- New wand graphics.
- Attempt at a fix for the issue with the panel button.

When all the quirks are ironed out, I will add support for other configurations (tab bar on the sides etc). Maybe it will be in time for Opera 10? :D

GCG1000 11. August 2009, 14:47

C00 v.013 ist sehr cool!:drunk:

Alexei 12. August 2009, 00:36

Thanks for the update

deadHarlequin 12. August 2009, 06:41

brilliant skin helmers, bravo!

Alexei 12. August 2009, 22:23

Even though the author states it was designed for O10, I think it works just fine in O9.6

Again, thanks for the beautiful skin!!!

deadHarlequin 14. August 2009, 19:16

excuse me, last config misses many line breaks. Is this ok? Is the skin being parsed OK?

deadHarlequin 14. August 2009, 19:19

dohh, I cant edit it. Sorry for the poor syntax

Hélder Matos 18. August 2009, 06:39

nice but the menu button isn't skinned.

Jan Henrik Helmers 19. August 2009, 10:38

I managed to install the MS Windows version of Opera by using Darwine, and have added some graphics to the Main Menu button. When I tried it out I got best results by hiding the Panel expand/collapse button.

I also added a new look for the menu. Let me know how you feel about the changes.

GCG1000 19. August 2009, 19:40

C00 v.014 ist sehr cooler! As each release of Opera 10 gets better, so does C00! Excellent work, Jan!

Roedy Green 19. August 2009, 20:35

I tried the skin, but it renders in darker colours than you show it in your sample. I tried playing with the colour choice, but still the bars are almost black. There is not enough contrast to read the text.

Jan Henrik Helmers 20. August 2009, 07:32

@Roedy: You mean the Windows menu bar right? If you could get me a screen shot of it that would be great. Need to know if I chose too dark colors or if it is a bug.

Also, when I highlight the "Feeds" button, the highlight is different than the other buttons, is smaller.

I really like the new version, except for that issue. I will be using 0.14 anyways.

fongwen2k 25. August 2009, 06:37

I love the brand new wand & close tab icon, looks great. keep it up Jan.

ilya smirnov 25. August 2009, 11:53

excellent

Андрей 26. August 2009, 13:12

Нормально! Спасибо!

NiH 4. September 2009, 06:35

Beautiful theme, definitely one of my most favorites. One problem though, with the new release the font on the tabs seem a bit flat. See the Ibis Inspire screen:http://i32.tinypic.com/2nrlf2h.png against the c00 screen: http://i30.tinypic.com/ofygx1.png

Phillip 5. September 2009, 05:45

Not so Light but the hue is just so "right", which is what i love.
Really Wonderful Skin! Defeats all its competitors!
My Favorite ever!

Phillip 5. September 2009, 05:49

e.g menu bar displayed on center
could you fix it please...? Thank You
====================================
i'm not the author but my suggestion is trying to remove the [new tab] button beside the menu button. maybe that works.

Jan Henrik Helmers 6. September 2009, 20:23

@Stahn
I see that "Feeds" look different, it is because there is no icon shown. I will investigate.

@NiH
Fonts are not exactly 3D by nature, but maybe I can abuse text-shadow to make it stand out.

@Phillipseer
This menu thing is clearly not right. I will get a windows environment set up in a week or so, and will test this then.

In addition: the tab thumbnails are not playing nice with the tab bar. I see that Hicks added a horizontal separator line to the "drag bar", I will probably do the same.

aznsmartj0ck 6. September 2009, 20:37

Great work Helmers, but I was wondering, I see a white border about 3 px wide all the way around all the webpages I visit. I'm running Windows vista SP2 by the way. Thanks.

Groovy 6. September 2009, 23:37

Love it, thanks man.

- I would prefer 'key' icon over 'wand'.
- Address bar and Status bar could be reduced for pixel or two in vertical.
- As mentioned 2px white border is a pain.

(WinXP)

Jan Henrik Helmers 7. September 2009, 11:17

2px/3px border is wrong. Added to list of bugs to look at. I dislike the wand as well, I will make a key.

aznsmartj0ck 9. September 2009, 07:30

Thanks :D Looking forward to the next update...this is easily the best skin except for the annoying white border.

Daniel James Hendrycks 2. October 2009, 23:59

Please change the scrollbar.

macRоSS 6. October 2009, 10:27

Скроллбар никак не подходит етому скину.

Jan Henrik Helmers 7. October 2009, 14:22

After coming back to Opera, I have been really short on time to clean up this wonderful skin. I have fixed the white border on Windows, changed the way the Menu is displayed, and also made the scrollbar less funky. Unless I change my mind I will upload it tomorrow.

ValdemarDeMatos 7. October 2009, 17:18

This is probably the best skin I tried so far.
It is great for mac, gay, clean, minimal and no distracting colors.

I like the bottom connection between the tabs and the directions bar.
In version 10, if you open the new tab thumbnails, this connection works even better and the active tab stays well perceptive.

On the other hand the close button gets a bit weird.
I think this should really be fixed.

Also, there is now this new cool dot that is added at the top right of the tabs, when the information is updated or not visited yet. It would be nice to have this indication here too.

I like your 'funky' scrollbar.

Thanks.

IKoke 14. October 2009, 05:19

Line red in scroll not pretty.

Jorge 30. October 2009, 16:01

FTW! I'm a web professional... whatever that means...

Alexei 10. November 2009, 05:36

Great skin, however it is hard to see which tab is active when visual tabs are active. Plus, site thumbnails are not as tall as in other skins, leaving the bottom of visual tabs blank.

Jan Henrik Helmers 18. November 2009, 15:32

New background & speed dial background. New speed dial thumbnail images. New buttons in the tab bar. Slight changes to the tab thumbnails. Also broke the tab cycler feature & forgot to fix it. Removed lots of un-updated icons - why try to create good icons when Jon Hicks can do that for you?

stPwiLD0 19. November 2009, 06:08

It looks way too good now. Way too good. I love the way buttons in the tab bar appear now and the textured backgrounds are great!

the-dsc 27. November 2009, 12:44

I think this is the best I've seen so far, specially after the button border thing that appeared recently, which somehow does not affect this skin. But for me at least, the minimize, restore and close icons do not appear. I have a somewhat highly-customized, minimalist interface, which have close buttons where normally there wouldn't be any, but these buttons do have icons in every other skin though.

Genki 4. December 2009, 01:57

Excellent!

Michael G 14. December 2009, 20:23

nice one!

Scott Vivian 17. December 2009, 16:48

Title bar is not right in the latest Opera on Linux (from the repos):

Version: 10.10
Build: 4742
Platform: Linux
System: i686, 2.6.31-16-generic
Qt library: 3.3.8b

Jan Henrik Helmers 18. December 2009, 12:41

@Scott Vivian
By title bar, I am not 100% sure what you mean. I cannot do much about the browser title bar, do you mean the tabs? Thanks for the detailed info though p:

Jorakae 29. December 2009, 12:10

I love the skin! There does seem to be a bug in the progress bar though when it is set to pop up at the bottom. Most of the status bar is blacked out except for document and kb transferred. It is just aggravating me that I can't see what I'm waiting on.

Benedikt 4. January 2010, 16:13

quiet great!
good job!

Thomas Chah 13. January 2010, 11:54

I'm using this skin for Windows.

I have a question on Mail Browser Window Skin that
specifies a border around the message view to distinguish the site from the user interface.

I see the border color is specified unlike other skins.
So I checked with the skin.ini, and it indicates :

[Mail Browser Window Skin]
Clone = Padding
Padding Right = 0

I would like to have the border specified for Opera Standard Skin as well.
Can you tell me how to do it?

Jan Henrik Helmers 18. January 2010, 14:15

According to the (now slightly dated) documentation, all you need to do is specify:

[Mail Browser Window Skin]
Border = 1
Border Color = #cc0000

http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/opera-skinning-part-2-skinning-examples/#borders

jonnyquesty2k 21. January 2010, 14:12

Guess this doesn't work with 1050.

Jan Henrik Helmers 22. January 2010, 19:51

That is correct, it doesn't work (well) with 10.5. I do not see a point in updating it until the design for 10.5 is stable. Also 10.5 looks quite different from previous versions, perhaps the skin will have to change a lot.

Wait, I messed up, I meant the menu bar, the one with File/Edit etc. In Ubuntu, it has the same dark grey colour as the tab bar background. But the text on the menu bar stays black, which makes it impossible to read!

Daniel Chang 2. February 2010, 21:34

have been using this skin with great pleasure and still find it very refined and elegant. a consummate work!!
One little question: is it possible to make the menu bar a shade brighter?

rlagaras 9. February 2010, 11:12

Great Skin!
The Address changed in color when Progress Bar settings is changed to show inside address bar
