I like it!

AdilsonGuilhem 21. August 2009, 20:39

the Bookmarks button is missing P:

AdilsonGuilhem 21. August 2009, 20:41

well, a LOT of icons is missing on menus too :frown:

g2spot 24. August 2009, 06:34

like it very much! especially the scrollbars and the colors. only the borders around the thumbnails on the speeddial could be a little bit more lightweight.

when maximized and menu bar not shown, the menu window opens out of place.

/g..

g2spot 24. August 2009, 14:09

thanks for updating!

in mail/feed view the row headers (from, subject,...) are unreadable (black on black). the same goes with the quick replay button (white on white).

the toolbars on top of the tabbar which I have placed on the left looked better in versions before 1.2, the background breaks the layout.

/g..

nobodyus 24. August 2009, 15:39

Html formatting buttons on Mail compose are missing. Plz correct this...

Great Work

g2spot 24. August 2009, 17:53

your update speed is really impressive :eyes:

the quick reply (sorry for the typo in the last comment) is still barely readable (white on pale blue)

/g..

fongwen2k 25. August 2009, 06:30

The contrast looks pretty good, a little bit more polish would be great  keep it up.

g2spot 25. August 2009, 07:03

This one might be tricky.
When a button in the address bar (e.g. reload) is pressed (mouse down) the address bar gets taller (only some pixels). When the button is released (mouse up) the address bar goes back to its original height.

/g..

g2spot 25. August 2009, 08:44

nice

just another thought. the red hover background on buttons look nice on normal square buttons (i.e. reload) but strange on rectangular buttons (i.e. ff with a dropdown menu). the corners are not round anymore.

/g..

g2spot 25. August 2009, 11:40

so cool!

the button background is ok now, but it still fails on the panel bar, there's a break in the gradient.

/g..

nobodyus 25. August 2009, 12:38

Thanks

g2spot 25. August 2009, 18:08

sorry for bugging you once again, but the as they changed the logo with the new release, the icon for the menu bar is now out of fashion :ko:

/g..

g2spot 25. August 2009, 18:59

me again... the new speeddial looks much better!! however on dials higher than 9 the second digit overlaps into the red hover background.

/g..

ki-to 26. August 2009, 03:59

thanks for your many reports !
i also confirmed the problem (Speed Dial Thumbnail Widget image break up) surely occurs. but it unrepeatable...
searching now...

Darkcoby 26. August 2009, 04:35

I charm your skin!.
I just want to consult you one thing:
How can I change the width of the pagebar?. I would increase it to make it like the picture.. (from '1' to '2').
http://i30.tinypic.com/2dse354.jpg

g2spot 26. August 2009, 06:22

the problem of the second digit overlapping into the red background on speeddial exists also in this version.

Good work!,
Each new update this skin looks better...
Greetings...

g2spot 27. August 2009, 07:48

In my album there's a picture showing the overlap of second digit in red hover background in speeddial.

/g..

ki-to 27. August 2009, 08:47

thanks! all right. i couldnt find it. i research it again.

Yamaneko 27. August 2009, 11:38

I like it, but Personal bar takes quite too much in vertical.
I would love if Personal bar is lower.

tosbsas 27. August 2009, 14:05

could you work on the tabbar - the buttons are kind of small

g2spot 27. August 2009, 19:16

the big O sure looks great, when having the tabs on top. but with the tabs on the left, it takes away quite a lot of space. maybe you could make a different sized icon when placed on top/bottom or left/right. two times the size of a normal icon is the maximum I think.

/g.

Darkcoby 27. August 2009, 19:42

The O menu icon larger looks very ugly in my opinion...
I prefer the smaller icon of previuos versions.

parrudo91 28. August 2009, 01:07

Please change speed dial's design...

ki-to 28. August 2009, 04:33

thanks comments! updated to 1.9.
im adjusting speeddial now. please your additional comments.

nekkie 28. August 2009, 05:19

Pleeeease, make a version with large menu button :frown: It was awesome!

Also, new speeddial is nice!

ki-to 28. August 2009, 06:14

o.k. included large menu icon. download ver.1.9a and unzip it.
you can find operamenu_large.png and operamenu-selected_large.png in "icons" folder.
so rename them to operamenu.png and operamenu-selected.png. and zip skin files again.
you will be able to use large menu icon skin!

nekkie 28. August 2009, 06:25

Thanks!
Very nice to see how you're working on your skin, making it better and better everyday

Keep up a great work!

Darkcoby 28. August 2009, 08:14

Really nice now!
The new speeddial and the small menu icon looks great...
Good work ki-to!

tosbsas 28. August 2009, 17:05

I still have trouble with the tabs. Look here

http://img530.imageshack.us/i/capturerkb.jpg/

ki-to 28. August 2009, 17:57

it occur sometimes when start up opera. but i dont know the cause.
likely you can revert it any second to dropup pagebar.
or if you dont use thumbnails in tab, it dont occur probably.

tosbsas 28. August 2009, 23:44

I use thumbnails in tabs - how do you think I should fix it - sorry, english is not my first language

ki-to 29. August 2009, 03:34

drop down or up tab bar to spread or narrow the height enough, so fix it probably.
english is not my first language, me too. so i may be able to understand and explain.

tosbsas 29. August 2009, 05:28

hihi, I turned thumbnail preview off and it works now way better

ki-to 29. August 2009, 07:19

Emoryy 29. August 2009, 09:19

hi
I think this will be an awesome skin for opera, good work!

but
I am using Opera 10.00 build 1733,
and have some problems

speed dial:
-the corners of the rounded inner frame are pixelated heavily
looks like it is resized from a very little image file
-hover states doesn't apply, so if i move the mouse over the dials, nothing changes visually

tab bar:
-if i switch on multiple lines mode, the menu button goes upwards, so its upper half part is not visible. when there are at least two row of tabs, there is no problem.
-it seems that there is no difference between normal tabs and higlighted tabs (which are freshly loaded in)

nekkie 29. August 2009, 10:03

ki-to,
i like "C" option more.

nekkie 29. August 2009, 10:15

btw, now my sppeddial looks like that: http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/1421/new11k.jpg
version 2.1

g2spot 29. August 2009, 12:40

I'm for B or C.

I use Opera 10.00 build 1750 and and the corners of the inner frame are ok.

However the red "synchronized" button confuses me, as I'm used to green=synchronized, red=failure.

/g..

Emoryy 29. August 2009, 13:05

Now I updated to build 1750, but the above mentioned symptomes are still there. The corner issue too.

ki-to 29. August 2009, 13:56

thanks comments!

the problem of menu icon was confirmed.
if resize menu icon smaller, its fixed... but i prefer the big icon! so im thinking...

the problem of speeddial isnt confirmed. but it occurs sometimes.
probably image stretch dont behave normally, i dont know the cause. sorry.

i wii apply speeddial "C", and revert links buttuns.

Emoryy 29. August 2009, 15:32

on a fresh install of build 1750, there is no problem with the speed dial... (maybe my previous setting files are messing around)
on this install, the menu icon still doesnt fit when wrap to multiple lines is on.
btw i would prefer this big icon too

ki-to 29. August 2009, 16:08

it was good.
the problem of menu icon fitting occurs with default skin a little! so i have no way to fix.
if the icon resize smaller, we seem the symptom softens.
but it is not settled. we can only wait fix of opera, i think.

Emoryy 29. August 2009, 16:38

yeah, maybe we should wait for the final version.
...
i figured out what causes the dialer problem.
i've used 6×4 speed dial a long time (with ini file edit)
Now I deleted opthumb.dat, and speeddial.ini. After that, with setting eg. 5×4 dialers, the stretching and hovering problem does not occur.

ki-to 29. August 2009, 16:52

thanks your testing. great report!
about menu icon, if big O icon is seted to background, it work well. i will try it.

nekkie 29. August 2009, 17:23

I use 4x3 SD - and the problem occur.

ki-to 29. August 2009, 17:31

i think there is the cause in speeddial.ini file.
once you try to rename it, and restart opera.

Emoryy 29. August 2009, 17:34

Originally posted by nekkie:

Have you tried to remove those SD related files, and then remake your SD?

nekkie 29. August 2009, 18:35

Thanks, remaking SD is solved the problem, even if i copied all information about bookmarks from old speeddial.ini

btw, panel toggle button was better in 2.1 imho

abelha 29. August 2009, 19:18

This is a great version of IBIS ki-to! Already my favourite. Just one thing: I actually much prefer it a blue shade (sea colour scheme) as the red I find too distracting. Maybe that's sacrilege! But what about doing some other colour versions when you've finished tweaking this skin?

nekkie 29. August 2009, 19:23

Originally posted by abelha:

Good idea.

g2spot 29. August 2009, 19:27

the speeddial looks really nice now! but could you make the thumbnails a little bit more transparent, so that I can see my cute background image a little bit better?

/g..

ki-to 29. August 2009, 22:55

about panel toggle button.
ummmm... had better i revert it? i think that it is not good to use icon understanded hard visually.

about other colour versions.
in fact, i was going to make blue version mached for windows XP.
but i noticed that, if change color scheme, it likely other version. so i break away...
i can make it if and when have enough ability.

about speeddial transparent.
o.k. i will try. im thinking to apply "B"... but thinking now.

nekkie 30. August 2009, 09:37

Well, that's right, but in my opinion current icon just not looking good. Maybe change it for something else? (if in 2.1 version if understanded hard visually)

Originally posted by ki-to:

The problem is that when you change color scheme - all skin becomes painted in that color - it stops being black. And it will be really cool if there will be other version, where all that looks black now - will remain black, and all that looks red now - will take another color. Like that:

ki-to 30. August 2009, 12:31

about panel toggle button.
o.k. i will study something else.

about another color scheme.
im adjusting the colorize. when you change color scheme, only red item change to selected color.
but some icon dont change color... ummm.

nekkie 30. August 2009, 13:45

new colorize is awesome!

ZenWarrior 30. August 2009, 16:59

Love the scrollbar. Nice job overall, too.

Darkcoby 30. August 2009, 19:14

In my opinion, the speed dial of version 2.1 or 2.3 are the best!

nobodyus 30. August 2009, 21:28

2.2 speed dial version was so much better :frown:

nekkie 31. August 2009, 08:53

i like new SD

fengshi11 31. August 2009, 10:14

thx,so cool....,but the scroll bar is difficult to see clearly:)

g2spot 31. August 2009, 11:23

after seeing many versions of speeddial in action, I prefer the option: "default widget is none". It's the cleanest version and the one with the best visibility of the needed elements.

the status bar still changes it's color depending on the color scheme.

/g..

ki-to 31. August 2009, 13:44

ummm. i also think so, but the number and comment (Click to add a Web page) is unnatural.
a number or comment must be bound to understand visually as UI, i think.
so i will not change speeddial appearance of existing version.
ah about O icon, i may cleare it... maybe.

about statusbar. thanks. its fixed on next version.

abelha 31. August 2009, 14:32

ki-to

The scheme colour change is great! Now looks very sleek in black and blue. Love it. I also like the highlighted scroll-bar, now easier to find and use. One problem: when you hover over the new tab button on the toolbar now (if you've added one to the toolbar), the whole toolbar increases in size ('jumps' below the icons). Likewise, hovering over the smaller new tab button on the address tabs makes the icon 'jump' upwards.

Can't comment on the speeddial as I don't use it!

ki-to 31. August 2009, 15:08

oh, there is a little margin under the new button. sorry. its fixed on next version. thanks.

nekkie 31. August 2009, 18:22

new SD is nice too, except big red "O" in the empty slots. Much better without it imho.

parrudo91 31. August 2009, 18:54

That big O on main manu was better...

nekkie 31. August 2009, 18:57

btw, panel toggle button is awesome now!

you can turn it on.
you can find operamenu_large.png and operamenu-selected_large.png in "icons" folder.
so rename them to operamenu.png and operamenu-selected.png. and zip skin files again.

starhorst 31. August 2009, 20:51

I like it. Keep up the good work

g2spot 1. September 2009, 06:28

I think it would look nice if the notifier of new mail would change color too.

And there's this point that has not been addressed yet:

Flex2k9 1. September 2009, 07:20

I was wondering if you were gonna do one for Opera 10... Sweet job!

ki-to 1. September 2009, 09:59

Tips: add color scheme variation

add as follow in menu.ini. this is an example to become blue.
appoint your favorite color code. you can add it as many.

Item, "color name" = Set skin coloring, #0000FF

and, you make a button of follow action command. so you can change to your own color!

Show hidden popup menu, "Color Scheme Menu"

ki-to 1. September 2009, 10:41

oh wrong.
add as follow in menu.ini. this is an example to become blue.

Item, "color name" = Set skin coloring, #0000FF
and, you make the button, so you can!

ki-to 1. September 2009, 10:46

ah, its treated as tag.... sorry...

Color Scheme Menu
Item, "color name" = Set skin coloring, #0000FF

tytung 1. September 2009, 13:17

Very Nice...However for the buttons (eg. Home, refresh..) when you highlight them the icons seems to be not at the center. They looked a bit tilted to the right.
Can you fix this?

tytung 1. September 2009, 13:47

Two more issues:
1. When the tabs are placed on top and are not expanded, the "more tabs" icon ("+") is not at the center, it's tilted to the left.
2. The pressed-down effects of the buttons are not obvious.
3. There is no pressed-down effects at all for the buttons in the webpages.

tytung 1. September 2009, 14:43

Sorry :D I noticed another issue:
When the tab bar is located on left, the "new tab" icon should be left-right inverted, because the shadow is wrong.

nekkie 1. September 2009, 14:43

> changed panel toggle button , and new tab button, and such.

Very nice!

btw, it would be great to have a light version of this skin ><

ki-to 1. September 2009, 16:17

i fixed many issues. use version 2.6. thanks!

about notifier of new mail
i dont use Opera mail (M2). so I dont know it very much. if i find it, i fix it.

about light version
ummm.. i will think about it.

ki-to 1. September 2009, 17:49

light version release
http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/info/?id=8907
there may be a problem in it.

nekkie 1. September 2009, 19:09

i'm afraid i spell it wrong :<

i meant something like white instead of black  gray-white or so.. ^^

Darkcoby 1. September 2009, 20:18

I like 2.6 skin vesion!
Good add to my Opera 10 FINAL!!

abelha 2. September 2009, 00:53

Excellent new tab icon.

Switching between skin versions, I noticed you lifted the bookmark icon (star) up as it was too low (out of line with the base of the other icons), only it now seems to be just a little bit too high.

ki-to 2. September 2009, 03:59

about light version
oh! i mistook it. sorry.
if skin color is changed, i must adjust many image, background colors, text colors...
and i love block more than anything. so i will not make it...

about bookmark icon
o.k. its adjusted on next version.

tytung 2. September 2009, 05:11

Thanks for the improvement! Now this is getting more and more professional.

Sasko88 2. September 2009, 14:45

Very nice skin indeed.

It won't hurt if the scrollbar is a bit more thick (like 2px more). The plus icon needs to be cleared of the big dark spot (visible when hovered), also the new tab button becomes twice as long when pressed (as opposed to normal and hover states). The check that overflows from the checkbox is nice and classy but looks odd in the menus where the background is black.

It's a big issue that the "configure", "synchronize" and "what is speeddial" buttons are invisible unless the background is changed to something lighter (which will be odd on this skin).

ki-to 2. September 2009, 15:37

about new tab button
pressed action means new tab made. in fact, it may be strange. i might revert it.

about speeddial notices
i think its unnecessary, so i took it invisible. but it should not be so, maybe. i will adjust it.

about other
i will not change it.
because it is important to create more page area, and unity appearances visually, i think.

Nicksonick 2. September 2009, 18:05

Thanks to the wonderful work!

jaywin 3. September 2009, 21:12

WOW one of the most polished and professional themes for opera 10. Everything is perfect except the scrollbar is too simple and thin. Also the stop button is not exactly alligned to the center of the red box.

jaywin 3. September 2009, 21:15

http://img2.imageshack.us/img2/5646/stopb.png

see? the 'x' is not in the center. Not a big problem, really; just wanted to let u know.

ki-to 4. September 2009, 01:51

about scrollbar
i know its too simple, but i love the slim bar.
ummm, i will study it.

about stop button
o.k. its adjusted on next version. thanks.

ishan001 4. September 2009, 02:00

Small Problem: Speed and Page Size text is barely visible when progress bar is integrated into address bar!

AdilsonGuilhem 4. September 2009, 02:27

All this buttons DON'T have icons: Bookmarks, Go, Thread, Show sent, Smiley...

If you go to the Buttons settings and change the skin to the Default, you will see the errors

ki-to 4. September 2009, 10:15

thanks for reports.
i fixed progressbar, and the icons.

jaywin 4. September 2009, 11:02

Sorry to bother you again, but can you fix this close button? the x is not in the center again
http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/388/21785741.png

Sasko88 5. September 2009, 13:02

Sorry for repeating myself but this really needs to be fixed - the plus buttons (new panel or tab) has some nasty black spot behind it, very easy to spot on hover.
http://files.myopera.com/Sasko88/files/plus.png
Zoom the picture a bit if you don't see it.

tytung 5. September 2009, 13:27

To Sasko88,
The "nasty" spot is the shadow of the plus button.

ki-to 5. September 2009, 14:58

about panel close buttom
o.k. its adjusted on next version.

about shadow of new tab button.
i will clear the shadow of all buttons and icons on next version.

puf 7. September 2009, 03:00

I'm having a problem.
If I put a "status field" in the address bar, so i can hover links and see the addresses, the text gets black.
I don't understand how it happens...
1 picture is worth 1000 words.
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/6862/87079270.jpg

Great skin btw!

AdilsonGuilhem 7. September 2009, 03:34

Good, now the "cascade" button is missing.

Probably the best Opera skin.

AdilsonGuilhem 7. September 2009, 03:53

The "Lens" on the page size selector is missing.
I think that the Panels button have wrong height too.

In fact, for me, the Panels/New tab buttons used on the v2.3 was way better, simple and clean.

And the gap between the 'panels' & 'new tab' buttons and the tabs is too big, a waste of space, specialy for people like me, who lives on a 800x600 world P:

ki-to 7. September 2009, 04:29

about text color on the addressbar, cascade button, zoom icon
its adjusted on next version.

about panle button and new tab button
o.k. i will study it...
in fact menu O icon is too larger than the assumed size, so the behavior of panel button is funny height, maybe.
but i love O icon ! i canot do anything for the height of panel button.
i will narrow the background width of panel button and new tab button.

g2spot 7. September 2009, 07:49

with the tab bar is placed on the left, the shadow of the + in the new tab button is cast to the wrong side. the button is lighter on the left side, pretending there's light coming from left, but the shadow of the + is cast to the left too.

/g.

ki-to 7. September 2009, 08:19

it is sure. but the shadow of all buttons are cast to the left.
it is easy to change light side of the + button, but it is difficult to change the other all.
and, if the light side of only the + button is changed, new tab button on the other position have wrong side of shadow.
so... please overlook the problem.

AdilsonGuilhem 7. September 2009, 13:31

I see now that the problem about the panels button background that i stated before only occurs if you remove the "O" menu button.

i see that only now because i use a custom button for the menu, and the big O was removed. see the pic:

http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/2039/clipboard01vl.jpg

AdilsonGuilhem 7. September 2009, 13:33

Also, you can see now the giant gaps too.

puf 8. September 2009, 00:33

Great! Thanks default skin now :D

AdilsonGuilhem 8. September 2009, 23:11

Hi, the panels button still wrong.

For people who uses custom windows colors like me, in some parts the skin (A LOT of them, not just yours) don't use the custom colors from my system. see the pic:
http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/413/clipboard01gp.jpg

Searching the forums i found how to avoid that, see the fix:
http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/2194/clipboard02je.jpg

you need to use child0 function:

[Edit Skin]
...
...
Child0= Edit Interior Skin

[Edit Skin.disabled]
...
...
Child0= Edit Interior Skin.disabled

[Edit Interior Skin]
Color= Window

[Edit Interior Skin.disabled]
Color= Window Disabled

I think that will be really good to use that.

ki-to 9. September 2009, 03:53

about panel toggle button
i am studying it but i canot do anything for the height of panel button.

about custom colors
thanks. i will study it.
but when child function is used, skin is heavy in inverted commas.

Hi, have you tried the 'new tab' background on the panels background?

ki-to 10. September 2009, 08:25

i adjusted them many times.
if O icon is resize to standard size, i can fix them easily.
but i will not do it, so i cant do anything at this time.

Thanks for the update...

juhliowm 1. October 2009, 13:00

The skin is awesome except for the tiny scrollbar.

Amnith 7. October 2009, 15:29

Very nice! I like it a lot. Only comment is the scrollbar as juhliowm comments. It could need some more loving, but except from that... Thumbs up!

ValdemarDeMatos 7. October 2009, 16:51

Very good skin that works very well for almost all graphics.
In the Spanish version the Panels button is a bit out of place.
I like the tiny scrollbar. The active area is enough to work well.
Thanks.
For my liking this one is maybe a bit too dark, so I would be pleased if there was a lighter version of these.

ValdemarDeMatos 7. October 2009, 16:59

Another point: In version 10 there is now this new cool dot that is added at the top left of the tabs, when the information is updated or not visited yet. It would be nice to have this here too.
