Linking to a Specific Post
We used to be able to do this by copying the address from an icon in the bottom left corner of any post. Is it still possible, and if so, how?

To the right of your post there is a link titled "Permlink", which is a link to your post.

When you click on Permalink, what exactly happens? Where does the link address get "stored"?
I know I can copy the address and use it for other purposes but what's the deal if you just left-click it?
Help is of no use and a search got me here.

If you want to refer to a specific post, use the URL located in it's permalink button.
The old forums had the same feature, without the name and it sat under a page with folded corner icon.

if you click on it, it takes you to that post. Copy the URL and post it elsewhere to use it.

So it's only use is for copying the link address for use elsewhere and a plain ol' left-click executes no particular action? Well, that's still a cool feature.

Well

a plain ol' left click will take you to that post, may open it in a new page depending on your settings, but in general since you are already at that post, about nothing happens.

If you're set to open in same page, you can have timed "Button Races"............Reload vs. Permalink.

@mgjacchetti, please don't spam the forums. This thread wouldn't particularly benefit from using tinyurl.
