Easy navigation from My Page to the Community

I see a lot of people complaining but the truth is that the new site, forum and personl area are really nice. Good job Opera people!

One little suggestion for improvment (it might have been suggested somewhere else but there is so much whinning that it's hard to read through every topic) is an easier way to navigate back to the general Opera Community site from the "My Page" area.

At present, all we have is a "Opera Community" link at the top left of the page. It would be nice is that link could turn into a drop down menu containing the items "Home", "Blogs", "Photo albums"... that one finds on the Opera Community.

Thanks for your attention.

I'm a bit confused on this as well. Once I log into my.opera.com it takes me to my page. I have an Opera link on the top left corner and when I click that on, it takes me back to the original log-in page, which doesn't tell me that I have logged in, but if I click on forums, then it takes me to the main forum page where it does tell me that I am logged in. I still cannot log out - gives me a 404. Is there a better way or a more correct way to log in and go where I want to?

Thanks.

Hi Laurent,
Thanks for your suggestion. I will keep this in mind for future updates of My Opera.

BernieB,
The reason why you get redirected to your own page when logging in is most likely that you have turned off referrer logging. If you turn on referrer logging you will stay on the same page after login.
We are aware of the logout problem and will try to fix it tomorrow.

Fred, they got you on the night shift? Sagar said he was leaving at 9pm, and that was 3-4 hours ago...

These monkeys must have whips. :insane:

I would like a comparable menu to the previous one, as I could find everything I needed through it, and it was on most pages. I can't see needing to split the menus into different areas in the community; all the menus should be the same within the community umbrella.

I noticed that I very often need to reload a page in order to see the most recent changes. Buit that's not only on Opera's pages. I see it in a few more places to.

Yes, I notice that too. The Opera pages don't show updates after reloading, would be nixe if fixed.

Btw, where are the whining threads? I like to add my 2 cents... :D ...and learn why the New posts page doesn't include group forum posts nor local forum posts.

scipio, I can't believe you missed them.:D but your suggestion is actually a good one and would probably require a thread of its own.
