Don't know what statistics are you referring to confused

anyway, nice pictures you are posting, btw what is the parameter you're referring to for the ordinate -- abscissae seems to be some time stamps lol

Hey Tamil,
you wouldn't mind to give the less educated users a hint about your source, would you bigsmile lol

Really nice pictures you have but unfortunately they're lack of how you got that data (still not sure what the ordinate & abscissa should indicate) --> your data is depending on what? idea
-- some users might see this as well, ya know ... lol

... statistics are nice, but they should stand obvious questions to be accepted ...
anyway, it seems you're the Excel-expert, but maybe I missed something.

Alright, SM, that link http://rankings.big-boards.com/?p=all (<-- note: /?p=all) gave some search results about item "Opera".

Actually, first Opera item is ranked 47th "Chiquititas
Hebrew forum for an argentinian soap opera",

second Opera item is ranked 391st "Operation Sports
Forum dedicated to Sports Video Games",

third Opera item is ranked 755th "My Opera
Opera browser community forums".

Are you refering to third one at 755th place?

Not sure what you meant btw. lol

Sure you wouldn't mind to show non-US-Opera-users your data mine, would you? lol

I don't have any data left

Big-Boards is a site that tracks message boards, if you were to use the url I provided and search for "my.opera",
http://search.big-boards.com/result.php?q=my.opera&go=go
then click on the "stats" link it would take you here,
http://www.big-boards.com/board/646/

But then you could have gotten there by reading the(this) thread.

Regarding Opera stats, me too have no data at all.
That is the reason why I am asking.
People are tending to post things in here for any reason. I'm just reading posts & want to understand ... simple this is, mate.

Well SM, following your path of being nitpicking ... faint

Beside some Opera users might have questions about Opera statistics -- ok -- you might prove your very last post with the post just above your post ...

So what ? Which source is the right one?
May I allowed to ask, please.

See, I have no worries to read nice Opera stats, but at least they should meet the very simplest demand. May be we could agree on that one, no?

edit:
and YES
me personally have questions about Opera fanboys being always restrictive, defensive & arrogant. bigsmile

IMHO all this, in this very thread, could be everything but it is not professional (regardless of the amount of user's posts ... !). lol

idleskitter, please tone down your posts. Calling people fanboys, arrogant, defensive, etc. is not acceptable behaviour. Some of your posts are over the top, so I suggest that you stop accusing people of various things, and try to be a bit more polite and less confrontational.

If you have any comments or questions regarding this, please PM me.

This thread has gone way off-topic, so let's return to the actual stats. If you would like to learn how Big Boards gathers their data, please contact them. Tamil can't answer for others, although he did explain where he got his data from.

well, it would be useful to also have daily or hour-by-hour info on people logged in or just looking(quantity, and name??)...
Of course this would have to be separated by the main titles of the 'forum root'...
They may all be people in the 'lounge', where there are only 10 or so in 'opera desktop' .... eek cry

as I said (last month!) can you *please* see if you can get the figures for this part only of the forum???
- I dont mean the 'membership total', but the amount actually online...

It would be interesting to see how many are actually talking about opera, not 'everything else'....

This is 100% true.

I have integrated a small private chat that I belong to into the Opera community, a little over a dozen people and none of them use the Opera browser left right besides myself. They do complain that the editing controls in the community do not work really well (in Firefox, IE and Netscape), but there are a lot of bells and whistles for a free, private forum. Especially when you consider there is no advertising.
