Opera PPC download?
Hey there,I've been a long time opera user, and a long time apple user. Was pretty sad to see that 11/12 will no longer be supporting PPC. Figuring I'd have to settle for 10, I went about looking for it, to no avail. Anyone here know where to download the most recent release of O10 for PPC/universal? Can never have enough browsers!
Opera 10.63 is compatible with Mac OS X PPC.

Wrong link mate.. If you look at the file name it reads "Opera_10.70_9034_Intel.dmg", which is not PPC, or universal. Here is the right one, I hope.

I also have a question on Opera for PPC. I have an iBook G4 which works fine with Opera 10.50, yet, on every launch of the browser, a pop up notification asks me to update to 10.63. I have had some bad experience with program updates in the past, when after updating, the program did not launch anymore because it required a newer Version of Mac OS (e.g. 10.4). Is it safe to update? I have not found any information in the changelog whether 10.63 works on Panther.
Opera is the only browser left to work with modern websites on Panther, so I do not want to risk anything...

I guess the update should go well - but have a backup of your Opera profile handy in case it does not.
That's because Opera only tested 10.6x against Tiger 10.4 and above. So it's not possible to say surely whether it will work or not - BUT I think if Opera 10.50 can work good; I don't see any harm in giving 10.63 a try.
