Opera 11.51.1087 update from deb repository to same version?
Hello,Maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but today I noticed the following when I updated Opera from the deb.opera.com repo (using Debian Squeeze)
aptitude output:
Preparing to replace opera 11.51.1087 (using .../opera_11.51.1087_i386.deb) ...
So it's upgrading Opera to a version I already had... I couldn't find anything new in the opera changelogs/blogs either, so I was a bit suspicious..
I compared the deb file with an older one found on my other PC:
New file: 11M Sep 19 16:35 /var/cache/apt/archives/opera_11.51.1087_i386.deb 775c64c1f223fb3854d8fc6c4972c6fa
Old file: 11M Sep 14 09:01 /var/cache/apt/archives/opera_11.51.1087_i386.deb c4c3911a06e014624a3f91de1a47edb9
So the MD5sums also differ... Does someone maybe have an explanation for this?
On deb.opera.com this file has changed on 19-Sep-2011 14:35.

Actually the package number should have changed, not the build number. It is exactly the same build. I do explain on my blog why we didn't update the package number.
You don't need to update since the two builds are identical (only the packaging meta-data changes) but it is the simplest way to get rid of the warning, so I would suggest you just let it update.
