Slow or incomplete loading of pages in Opera 11.51

I'm using Opera 11.51, build 1087 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. On some Sites pages seem to almost
completely load ('status bar' displays 'Elements' as almost comletely loaded as, in for instance, 'Elements:
149/150'). Sometimes all of the page gets loaded and other times only part. Usually the full page can be
aquired by clicking the refresh button (all elements are then loaded). On several sites it takes several
seconds for all of the the elements to load. It seems to me that cookies are somehow involved in the
problem. Sites that load lots of third party cookies seem to have the problem the most. Sites that don't
load third party cookies never seem to load incompletely. How can I fix this problem? IE9 doesn't seem to have it.

I'm having the same exact problem, i tried both IE8 and fire fox and both of them are loading the same pages just fine. This has been happening since last update.

Same here. Just started to research it. Will report any discoveries here.

UPDATE: This helped:

Preferences > Advanced
Storage > Deleted list of sites using persistent storage and set "Use application cache" to No
Network > Set max connections to a server to 64 and Max Total Connections to 128
Security > Changed auto-update to Notify only
History > Set Remember visited addresses to 0; unchecked Remember content on visited pages; turned off memory cache; clicked "Empty Now;" and set Check if page is updated on server to (1) Check documents Always and (2) Check images Always

Though I do not know why, doing the above significantly helped.

But finally, copying an empty file named user.css to the Programs > Opera >styles directory totally cleared up the problem.
However, I noticed that one final element (always the last one) still does not load on some pages. I'm just 'sayin.

Thank you. That posts makes more sense about what's going on.

UPDATE: Well, this is unfortunate. I've spent hours and hours on this now, and I've had no success. So I'm throwing in the towel. I won't be using Opera anymore. I hope you guys working on the bench here this. Sad, indeed.

Same problem. It does with 11.51, and with 12 also. The Opera 12 Next is installed as portable, into a new, empty directory, and works the same, as the 11.51.
It is only a visual problem, if you see, that images aren't loaded corretly, but it's very frustrating, if Javascripts (or anything else) is not loaded in the background, and the webpage does not works at all! (Popups, menus, etc).

Of course, IE, FF, Chrome loads all the pages without any problem.

I've been using Opera since 98-99 and lately it's been one screw up after another, first opera 11-11.51 wont render the map page on Knights of Camelot, a facebook game. Opera support says its their fault. Now I can't even get pages to load or bookmarks to load over another addy. yes, I'm using win7 64bit. oddly on my mom's computer, which runs win XP, Opera 11.51 runs just fine (except for the KoC facebook game map page). All flash updates, no extensions (that I'm aware of). Whats up Opera? you used to be brag worthy!
