How to open searches in new tab?

How can one configure the context-menu "Search With..." feature to open the search page in a new tab?

Thanks.

Hold the Shift key and then choose a search engine from the menu.

Thanks. How can I make this the default behaviour? Should I file a feature request?

Preferences, Tabs, and uncheck "Reuse current tab."

There is no need for a feature request. "Search with" respects the user's options for reusing the current tab or not. If you want to override "reuse current tab" then use a keyboard modifier.
