Changing User Agent settings to Android/iPhone?

Hi,
I requested adding Android/iPhone User Agent settings in appropriate topic, however it either got denied or nobody ever read it.
I discovered that I can change User Agent settings via opera:config, but since I'm not very familiar with "geekish stuff", I don't know what to put in there.
I see there's User Agent Spoof option with numbers in it, but I found it useless after trying all numbers from 1 to 6.
Second thing I saw there is default UA setting that can be changed, however I don't know what to put in there. Only thing I know is that I need websites to recognize my android in opera just like they recognize the stock browser.
I hope someone can help me as this is really important setting for me (Gmail and Facebook look like I'm on an ancient mobile phone, and the desktop version is ugly).

Works with other sites, but not with Google and Gmail. I can't believe guys in Opera still didn't fix this.

Android User Agent is not what you want.
What makes you believe that a web master who does User Agent sniffing will not have -webkit prefixed CSS in Android/iPhone version of the page?

What you really want to do is to complain to web masters (that includes Google) to stop doing User Agent sniffing and support Opera properly by not using proprietary markup.

I know that it's what I want, since EVERY other browser I tried had normal UA as default, and everything worked fine. Not with Opera. So, are you trying to say that Opera is right and everybody else is wrong? Well then I want Opera to be wrong too.

He's saying Browser Sniffing is wrong.

Contacting the webmaster is a helpful thing to do too, in case any one else on Opera decides one day to visit their website. And you won't necessarily just get ignored, I've had some really helpful responses before.
It was a bright, cold day in April...

Figured it out!

First, open up your standard android browser (not Opera), and point it to http://whatsmyuseragent.com. It will give you your User Agent towards the top. It looks like this: Mozilla/5.0 Linux U Android 2.2.1 en-us SCH-I500 Build/MIUI AppleWebKit/533.1 KHTML, like Gecko Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1 (I'm running MIUI on a Fascinate, yours will look different, slightly)

Then, copy that and open Opera. Put opera:config in the URL bar and hit go. Scroll down to User Prefs (Second from the bottom) and tap on it. You will get a bunch of options. The one we're looking for is "Custom User Agent". Paste your copied UA into this text box, scroll to the bottom and hit save.
Now websites identify you properly.

FYI: I have not tested what happens when Opera is updated, but as far as I know it should stick. You'll also have to repeat this every time you change Android versions (i.e. going from Froyo to Gingerbread, or 2.3 to 2.3.3) if you want it to be up to date.

This fixed it on most sites just not Google and gmail, which are not formatted properly. Could the opera team at least fox that?
