Opera Link not working any more on one computer

Hello,

I use Opera on two different computers (32bit, 64bit windows 7 pro) with opera link to synchronize roughly 2000 bookmarks (don't know the exact number, bookmarks.adr is like 11000 lines). This was mostly no problem for the past 2-3 years. Since about 2 weeks, synchronization stopped working on one of the machines (the 32bit one). Almost constantly, it says "Opera Link Error" (with periodic short "busy" periods). "Show status" shows "The Opera Link server reported an error while parsing data sent by Opera" all the time. The error console additionally says
[20.09.2011 21:07:23] Opera Link
SYNC_ERROR_PARSER
The Opera Link server reported an error while parsing data sent by Opera

Disabling other parts (notes, typed history, etc.) of the synchronization does not work either. The 64bit machine synchronizes without problems.

Can anyone be of help?

I can't help, but I have been suffering the same problem. One machine of the 4 that I use reports this error.

Two of the machines are running Opera Next, but the remaining machine on Opera 11 isn't having any problem, so I don't think it's that.

I'm quite disappointed that there is no reaction at all from any responsible person at opera as to this issue, that obviously affects more than one user. I also reported a bug in the bugtracker regarding this issue, but did not receive any response for that, either. As the bookmark replication is one of the core features of a browser nowadays (and especially for me), I start considering to leave opera, if the problem is not fixed.

This is a user-to-user forum. While you may get an occasional post from any of the Opera devs it is a rare occurrence.

Your bug will be manually processed by the team at Opera. You will not get a personal response unless more information is needed.
