Unable to Access Opera after update to Opera 11.50/11.51 today 20-8-11
HiAm running laptop using Windows 7 Home Premium. Up till today was using previous version Opera, on updating, restarted machine everything seemed fine.
Then trying to start Opera confronted by a quarter screen (page) window which indicated Opera 11.50 Installer but whole of box was coloured black, other than wording "Terms of Service" in blue, and "Accept and Install" in white. .
Clicking into black area cleared black into white on which was user agreement mentioning Oslo City Court etc.
No where on that window could I/can I find a Yes or Cancel button.
Deciding after several attempts, by which time several similar windows were created I was unable to close any window and needed to Restart machine.
Deciding to revert back to previous version, I was thwarted by Windows Uninstall refusing to remove Opera 11.50/11.51 instead more 1/4 page similar windows being created.
Several more heavy duty uninstallers similary could not uninstall Opera 11.50/11.51 and likewise 1/4 page black Opera Installer windows created.
Following advice from the forum I am unable to access the Opera programme to make suggested changes.
Am therefore left with a programme I have always used, want to use, but for some inexplicable reason cannot use it.
Can you help?
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
That's still not today ... it was the 20th. Wrong forum, but I'd have tried the Tab key. Of course you can't click Continue or Install or whatever it was until you click Accept, the other alternative would have been something like Quit or Cancel.
What skin were you using before the update? I get the feeling you old skin is not compatible, and that may be why everything was black. I might find your profile and delete the old skin file.
