No. I don't like this solution. It slow down access to the URL field and hides it from view.

Being able to see the URL is important to know which page you have been redirected to after clicking a link for security reasons. It would be better to drag the URL field to one of your Page Bar toolbars if you don't want to use the address bar.

The new address bar appears every time you open or change of address ... long enough to see addresses. And there could be also own the tab markers, showing that the site is secure and true.

Sorry but I agree with Pesala, this is not a good solution.

I think it is unintuitive, adds little to functionality, and is not tablet friendly.

The little functionality it does add (i.e. increased screen area for displaying webpages) could be better implemented by having the address bar appear as the top part of the webpage displayed (like the android or safari mobile browsers). This way the address stays visible until you scroll down (so is definitely there long enough to see addresses, even if you go get a cup of tea) but you still get the extra screen space for the webpage. Additionally this way does not hide any of the webpage with a balloon, and is easily accessed by scrolling up.
