Cannot move tab any longer without stacking - V11.51

I cannot move tabs on the main tab bar any longer. I pick up a tab, I aim between two other tabs, the insert marker comes on, I release and ... bang, it created a new tab group with the tab to the right of the insert marker. Interestingly, within tab stacks, I *can* re-arrange the order. But I cannot remove a tab from a stack to place it anywhere on the tab bar. It will always create a new stack :-(

Any ideas?

Use the Extender Menu on the tab bar or "No Wrapping." AFAIK the problem only occurs with "Wrap to multiple rows/columns." Its a known bug.

I see. Yes, I use wrapping. Too many tabs. Thanks.

Another new thing it does is this:

Often I drag a tab up to the window frame top (the blue area) to create another Opera window. I do this cuz I know I'm going to open many tabs related to one subject that I'm currently searching for example.

It used to be that I could drag another tab onto this window to the right of the newest tab. Moving the tab between windows so to speak.

Now I have to drag it to the left of the active tab in the new window. And it often gets stacked.....

See my frustration?

I think this change occurred between 11.50 and 11.51

Use the Windows Panel instead.
