Is that on this account (tege) or a different account?

It should have the same password you use to login here ...

It should be the same password you use to login here. If you go to the drop down menu above with your name on it and click on Bookmarks, does that work or do you get an error message?

What it says ... the passwords are encrypted with your login password (at the time, before you changed it) and can't be recovered without knowing the old password. Either enter the correct old password to recover them, or click the second option to forget them and replace them with the ones you currently have on your computer(s).

But i think that will never synchronize my new password because i got that same error if i install opera on new computer and try to log in.

It is possible to remove those old password and synchronize these new ones?

As I said, it requires your old My Opera password to decrypt your old wand passwords. If you enter your old password, it should decrypt those passwords and then re-encrypt them with your new password.

Otherwise select the radio button that says "Replace the remote passwords with those saved on this computer" and that's what it will do - remove the old passwords that it can't read and replace them with the ones from your current install.

This is something nice. Now when i pressed that "Replace the remote passwords with those saved on this computer" on another computer and okey there is not saved anything passwords, now my passwords is deleted. Fuc.... nice.

How i can contact some Opera Masters and ask them delete my old password hash?

Edit. I make new account.

Hi!

I've got the same problem here:

I'm using Opera on two machines. On this PC everything works fine. On my second Opera suddenly says that the passwords couldn't be synchronized and I have to enter some old one. I didn't change anything and I don't have a new password. Which is proven since on this PC the synchronizing still works wink Every password I enter is rejected.

*5 minutes later*

Now suddenly the error vanished. Without doing anything. I even had the error message window still visible when the link indicator logo went to "everything's ok". I'm glad I first wanted to write this post and so didn't select overwriting the saved passwords. Seems like there's some bug? Maybe caused by connection problems or a server hickup?

*again a few minutes later*

Oh well..seems like the saved passwords on both computers are gone now. All of them as it looks. And as I said, I didn't select overwriting them! I did nothing while it happened. cry Why? Why would you write a code deleting everything when an error occurs? Oo

edit: even worse. Seems like new passwords get deleted when synchronizing. So I can't save new ones. An error message occurred saying something like "an unknown error occurred" without details. I guess I'll have to deactivate synchronizing passwords and restore at least a few of them by using own backups sad

Got the exactly the same problem, and it started in a period in which I never changed my password. It's obviously a bug in the Opera sync system!

One report is sufficient.

User account must be written exactly same in all computers. Example Username and username both allows to login but will cause that old password check even if you have new account and you have newer changed password.
