Bookmarks Bar's icons arbitraly missing
Hello. This is my first post on Opera's Forum. I love Opera, but there is one tiny issue that really annoys me, i wonder if you guys could help me fix it, as i've searched the forums and couldn't find any post regarding this issue.I heavily use the Bookmarks Bar. I usually place some "buttons" (as it is known that bookmarks with no "Name" property are displayed only by their favicons) for Gmail, Google Reader, Facebook, etc followed by some bookmark folders. I love this setup.
But the thing is that, for no logical reason i can determine, sometimes some of these favicons are not displayed. This is happening right now actually, so i can help illustrate the issue with a couple of screenshots:
First, on the very tab i'm writing this post, you can see how my "buttons" are being displayed properly.
I switch to the Gmail tab, and my first two buttons's icons are missing (the "button" is still there, still working, but its icon is not displayed. This issue's occurrence is often. Any button can be affected on any tab. Opening a new Tab or Window always fixes the issue, albeit temporally (this fresh Window/Tab's buttons are susceptible to eventually get messed up). It is guaranteed to happen at least once on ANY session. It affects both my Opera running on Windows 7 and the one running on Ubuntu Linux 11.04. Both versions i use are Opera 11.51, Build 1087.
I'm sorry for this apparent long post about a small issue. But as i've mentioned, it's one that really gets to me. Do you guys have any thoughts?
Really? How old would you say this bug is? I once used opera, around version 6. Don't remember having problems then. But also, i might not even have used the bookmarks bar at that time. Then i switched browsers and came back to Opera on version 11, and been using it ever since. I experience this bug since version 11.
It comes and goes over the years, but it's been back for a long time now. I think we can safely assume it's a permanent feature.
