Warning on closing separate window, not entire Opera

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to tell Opera to warn when you're closing an entire window of Opera and you have another one opened already. What happens now is Opera won't even tell you and it just closes the window, losing all the websites you had there because they don't go to the list of closed tabs, which seems to exists only for the active window.
Try it: Open a new window with Ctrl+N, open two or three websites, then close that window. No warning. Is there a way to alter this behavior? Thank you very much.

That's not my experience. The closed tabs will reopen in the current window with Undo.

You can use the Additional tab options to allow windows with no tabs — that will keep the window open of you close the last tab, but it won't stop you closing the window from the X.

Hi, here is a step-by-step explanation of what I'm talking about:

1) I have two separate windows, each one with its tabs.

2) If i close one tab in one window, it shows up in the list of closed tabs FOR THAT WINDOW

3) If I close the whole window, no warning at all. See how the list of closed tabs doesn't show the tabs that were present in the other window.

If I try to close the last window it'd show me the message about exiting opera. I want to know if there's a way to warn about closing multiple tabs or about closing an entire window.

OK, let me try again, since you didn't seem to understand the first time.
  1. I dragged the tab for this thread to a new window
  2. I opened a couple more tabs in that window
  3. I closed those new tabs
  4. I then closed the new window by clicking the X
  5. On the Undo history menu is this item to reopen the closed window

The tabs that I had closed in the new window are lost, but any tabs I did not close were not lost. The Window can be reopened with the tab for this thread. If I did not close the other new tabs in the new window, then they would be available too. That is all tabs in the closed window can be recovered from this window.

Alternatively, I can just use Ctrl Z to reopen the tab from the closed window in the current window.

So, the bottom line is that a warning is not needed. If you close the window in error, just reopen it.
If you change the additional tab options to "Allow windows with no tabs" it won't stop you closing the window with the X, but it will stop the window closing when you close the last tab.

Ah ha! I understand now. I was expecting to see a list of all the closed tabs, but instead it shows a list of the closed WINDOWS and all the tabs associated to a window can be restored that way.
Thanks!
