Facebook's preview of the new timeline view does not work in Opera

I got an invite on Facebook to preview the new timeline view that goes live next week. I accepted the invite, but unfortunately, the timeline view does not work in Opera. It just defaults to the standard profile view. It works fine in IE, Chrome and Firefox.

That might be a problem with Facebook, not with Opera. (Might be)

just checked it as I am using the developers version.
I'm afraid it does not work in opera at this stage.

I had the same issue. It's a facebook thing. Facebook doesn't like Opera. It seems Facebook and Google sometimes specifically deny Opera users access to new features. You can circumvent it if you right click and edit the site preferences and identify it as another browser. Works perfectly now.

Maybe the opera developers will sort it out before the public release in a few weeks time.
All facebook profiles/user pages will turn into `timelines' over the next month or so.

Facebook has (quoted from FB stats)
More than 800 million active users
More than 50% of active users log on to Facebook in any given day
Average user has 130 friends

So it is good to know that
`you can right click and edit the site preferences to identify as another browser'
at this stage.

I think this should be reported now at this early stage by someone that can make sure that it is being attended to.

For FB timeline you need to mask as Firefox.

Google+ seems ok here, no changes noticed.
